719th Movement Control Battalion

After several delays from Poland, Germany and the state of Georgia; exhausted, waiting several hours in hangers, napping where and when we could, we finally made it to Fort Hood. Hoping for a fast transition this week so we can finally see our family and friends.

This morning Soldiers from both the 719th Movement Control Battalion (MCB) and the 470th MCB gathered to commemorate the successful completion of the 719th’s mission, and prepared for the Relief in Place/Transfer of Authority (RIP/TOA) ceremony.

The ceremony began with a formal presentation of colors, followed by speeches from the commanding officers of both battalions. The 719th MCB commander expressed gratitude for the hard work and dedication of his troops, highlighting the unwavering commitment they demonstrated throughout their deployment in Poland.

As the day came to a close, the 719th MCB prepared for their return home while the 470th MCB began to assume responsibilities for ongoing operations. The 719th soldiers packed their belongings, ready to transition back to their home station, knowing that they had made a meaningful impact during their deployment.

With the casing of the colors the 719th MCB leaves behind a legacy of dedication and resilience. As they depart, the Soldiers carried with them the lessons learned and friendships forged, looking forward to their next mission with pride and determination.

Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Children of all ages! Welcome to the 719th’s semiannual Army Physical Fitness Test!!! This morning Soldiers of the 719th MCB completed their second ACFT of their deployment rotation with a high passing rate and several Soldiers breaking the 500 point mark! Congratulations to all!

Today, Soldiers from the 719th ran the Poznan half marathon. From left to right, SPC Perry, his brother Ramon, SFC Mawn, SGT Croal, 1LT Abdullah, CPT Jedras, SGT Alvarez, and 1LT Bovino took on the challenge of running 13.1 miles.

This morning, Soldiers of the 719 MCB appeared in front of an E5 promotion board panel, answering questions dealing with soldier common knowledge, skill level one tasks, and scenario-based questions.

On 15 FEB, SFC Domonkos (2nd from left) and SPC Milliner (3rd from left), as well as other Soldiers from FOS Powidz, had the opportunity to meet with the Secretary of Defense and his wife to discuss the mission of the MCB and unique challenges and successes that both single Soldiers and dual military Soldiers face while deployed and at home.

Yesterday, members of Task Force Patriot traveled across Poland to give the first iteration of "Patriot University," an initiative led by CW2 Bagley to help units newly arrived to theater learn mobility standards and procedures for EUCOM. WO1 Donlin, SGT Dos Santos, and SGT Ferreira all joined CW2 Bagley in leading a very educational session for the 151 Movement Control Team (MCT), our new downtrace partner.

Soldiers of the 719th conducted two events yesterday. One set of Soldiers, led by MSG Elsey, went to schools in Witkowo to lead IT training. A second set of Soldiers went with Brigade Chaplain to a school in Trzemesno to play some basketball!
