Lead-up to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026,
Inspired by this year's theme, "Yoga for Healthy Ageing," the EOI Warsaw organized a special Seminar on Yoga and Ayurveda, followed by a captivating Dhrupad concert.
The seminar on Yoga for Healthy Ageing, insomnia management, and women's health, featured insightful presentations by Mr. Pravin Karkare, Dr. Chitrangana Chauhan (Sri Sri Ayurveda), Dr. Nina Budziszewska (University of Wrocław) and Ms. Katarzyna Hinduja (Sattva Ayurveda). The role of traditional Indian wellness practices in promoting holistic well being was highlighted by all speakers.
The cultural segment showcased a mesmerizing Dhrupad performance by Dr. Aditi Sharma, accompanied by Arush Datt Sharma (vocal) and Piotr Malec (Pakhawaj & Tabla), creating a deeply meditative and enriching experience for the audience. The event also commemorated the 150th anniversary of the iconic Vande Mataram, paying tribute to its enduring cultural and national significance.
The event was attended by distinguished Polish friends and enthusiasts of Indian culture and yoga, including Dr. Anna Rucińska, Dr. Skarbimir Ruciński, and Dr. Dorota Kamiński, along with representatives of Indian diaspora associations and friends of India.
Ambassador Ms. Neeta Bhusan, in her remarks highlighted the many benefits of yoga in promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. She also praised the Dhrupad performance for its depth, serenity, and meditative quality, which beautifully complemented the event's wellness theme.
