🇵🇭 Philippine Independence Day 🇵🇭
On June 12, the Philippines celebrates its Independence Day, commemorating the declaration of independence from Spain in 1898. This historic event marked a turning point for the nation, ending more than 333 years of Spanish colonial rule. This year, the Philippines proudly marks the 128th anniversary of its independence.
Independence Day stands as a symbol of the courage, resilience, and determination of the Filipino people in their pursuit of freedom and self-determination. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of sovereignty, unity, and international cooperation as foundations for peace and prosperity.
To celebrate this important occasion, the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Warsaw hosted a reception attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, government institutions, business leaders, and distinguished guests, including the Honorary Consul of the Republic of the Philippines in Szczecin, Mr. Zbigniew Jagniątkowski. The event provided an excellent opportunity to honor the rich history of the Philippines while strengthening international friendship, dialogue, and cooperation.
On behalf of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of the Philippines in Szczecin, Mr. Zbigniew Jagniątkowski, we extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Filipino people for continued peace, prosperity and success.
Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan! 🇵🇭🇵🇱
