Notice to Visa Applicants
The Consulates of the Republic of Cyprus issue visas to travelers who intend to travel to Cyprus through the official points of entry-exit*, and whose stay in Cyprus does not include accommodation in areas of illegally occupied properties.

Applicants are kindly requested to ensure that their travel itinerary, accommodation arrangements and supporting documents fully comply with the above requirement.

Please note that, should it be established, either before or after the issuance of a visa, that the travel programme has been changed to include accommodation in the abovementioned areas the visa application will be refused or, where a visa has already been issued, the visa shall be annulled.

In such cases, the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus may also impose an administrative measure.

A very interesting diplomatic, cultural summer visit of Heads of Missions has been organized by the Diplomatic Protocol of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Walewice and Łowicz.

The Ambassadors, including the Ambassador of Cyprus, Mr Nicos P. Nicolaou, learned about the culture, heritage and customs, observed the beauty of Walewice and Łowicz, and met representatives of the local Authorities of the areas, including the Director of Walewice, the Mayor of Łowicz, and the Bishop of Łowicz, on 30 June 2026.

Cypriot and other travellers to Walewice, renowned for its horses, may visit "LEFKOSIA", a newly-born Małopolska foal named after the Ambassadors' visit to Walewice.

The Malopolski (Polish: koń małopolski) is a Polish horse breed developed in the 19th century in Lesser Poland.

The Ambassador of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos P. Nicolaou, participated in the meeting of the Heads of Missions in Poland with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Radosław Sikorski, organized by the Embassy of Ireland in Warsaw, within the framework of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, on 20 July 2026.

Within the context of Security, as a priority issue of consecutive EU Presidencies, including Polish, Danish, Cypriot and Irish, the Ambassador of Cyprus reminded the somber anniversary of the Turkish attack and invasion of Cyprus, on 20 July 1974, as well as the security and other challenges faced by Cyprus, related to Refugees, Missing Persons and Illegal Exploitation of the Properties in the occupied part of Cyprus, as a result of the continuing Turkish military occupation of more than 1/3 of the territory of Cyprus, till the present day.
