Since July, Ramey Sector US Border Patrol, working closely with our federal and local law enforcement partners, have apprehended more than 73 illegal aliens during two maritime smuggling events. Those apprehended included nationals from India, Ecuador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Venezuela.

These coordinated enforcement actions also resulted in the arrest of two U.S. citizens for aiding and abetting, as well as the seizure of a vehicle used in connection with the illegal activity.

Ramey Sector remains committed to working alongside our law enforcement partners to identify, disrupt, and dismantle smuggling networks operating throughout Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

27 APPREHENDED OFF THE COAST OF CABO ROJO⛔

Agents responded to assist the Puerto Rico Police Maritime Unit as a high-speed sea pursuit unfolded.

A vessel overloaded with 27 illegal aliens from four different countries was intercepted.
The illegal aliens will be processed and deported.

WANTED FOR MURDER 🚨

USBP agents from Ramey Sector arrested a Dominican national wanted for murder. The illegal alien, along with two others, were apprehended along the coastal border of Puerto Rico and now faces federal prosecution for illegal reentry before being turned over to Dominican authorities on the murder warrant.

This country is not a safe haven for criminal illegal aliens. The border is closed!

Ramey Sector U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested seven illegal aliens from the Dominican Republic in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, during patrol operations. Record checks revealed that two of the subjects were ICE fugitives with outstanding orders of deportation issued by immigration judges. All subjects will face detention, immigration charges, and removal proceedings.

The apprehension of these individuals underscores the ongoing efforts of Ramey Sector agents to enforce U.S. immigration laws and maintain border security in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

On June 15, 2026, Ramey Sector US Border Patrol agents responded to a traffic stop conducted by officers from the Isabela Municipal Police Department, a Stonegarden partner. The stop resulted in the apprehension of three illegal aliens. Records checks revealed that one of the subjects has been previously order removed by an Immigration Judge. The subjects were subsequently transported to the Ramey Border Patrol Station for processing and placement into removal proceedings.

This case highlights the continued commitment Ramey Sector and of our local partners to safeguarding our communities.

On June 7, 2026, Ramey Sector US Border Patrol agents arrested seven illegal aliens, six from the Dominican Republic and one from Uzbekistan, after the US Coast Guard intercepted a vessel near Rincon, Puerto Rico. All seven individuals had previously been removed from the United States and will face prosecution under 8 U.S.C. § 1326, Reentry of removed aliens.

APPREHENDED: 64 ATTEMPT OCEAN CROSSING ON A MAKESHIFT BOAT ⛔

In a dangerous attempt to enter the U.S. illegally, 64 illegal aliens were arrested off the coast of Cabo Rojo, PR, aboard a makeshift yola vessel.

AMO, Puerto Rico PD, and USBP safely apprehended 58 nationals from the Dominican Republic and 6 from Haiti. The group will be processed and placed in deportation proceedings.

Illegal entry by land or sea leads to the same result: apprehension, prosecution, and deportation.
