The Palestinian Youth Movement (“PYM”) is a transnational, independent, grassroots movement of young Palestinians in Palestine and exiled worldwide as a result of the on-going Zionist colonization and occupation of our homeland. Our belonging to Palestine and our aspirations for justice and liberation motivates us to assume an active role as a young generation in our national struggle for the liberation of our homeland and people.

This week in the West Bank, armed Israeli settlers and Israeli occupation forces coordinated and launched violent raids on Al-Mughayyir village in Ramallah, Palestine. During the attacks, two Palestinian teenagers, 19-year old Omar Mohammad Naji Al Naasan and 18-year old Khalil Rasem Abu Alia were shot and killed by Israeli snipers.

The village of Al-Mughayyir has been subject to repeated attacks by armed Zionist settlers with the protection of Israel’s occupation forces. These attacks come amid an escalation of Israeli occupation and state-backed settler violence against Palestinians in villages and towns across the West Bank with the purpose of forcibly displacing Palestinians.

Glory to Omar Al Naasan, glory to Khalil Abu Alia, and glory to all the martyrs of Al-Mughayyir. We will recall their names and their ultimate sacrifice at the hour of Palestine’s liberation.

The Palestinian child, Israa Al-Hassi, was playing with her doll inside her family’s tent when Israeli occupation forces begun attacks on tents housing displaced Palestinians, in Deir Al Balah, Central Palestine. Israa was martyred by Israeli gunfire that targeted the tent she and her mother were sheltering in. Her mother, Amina Al-Hassi, was severely injured and soon succumbed to her wounds, joining Israa in ascending to martyrdom.

Israa and Amina are among more than several Palestinians killed in Israel’s latest violent onslaught across besieged Gaza. Since the ceasefire agreement, Israeli occupation forces have continued carrying out drone strikes, artillery attacks and gunfire across Gaza, repeatedly targeting Palestinians near residential areas and displacement camps.

On September 1, Yusuf Hatem Salem, a rescue worker serving the Palestinian Civil Defense, was targeted by an Israeli airstrike while carrying out emergency humanitarian duties near his operational post in Jabalia Camp, in northern Gaza. He was martyred after succumbing to severe injuries sustained by the Israeli strike.

Yusuf was among more than seven Palestinians, including three children, killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since Tuesday morning. As a firefighter and rescue operative, Yusuf devoted his life to aiding his people in Gaza. Civil Defense workers and rescuers like Yusuf continue their critical work under extraordinarily dangerous conditions, rescuing people and reaching areas targeted by Israel despite the high risk surrounding them.

On Monday, the child Muhammad Ali Ibrahim was martyred after succumbing to injuries caused by an unexploded Israeli cluster bomb in Haboush, southern Lebanon. Muhammad had gone inside his home to bring a toy so he could play with his brother, Hussein, when the Israeli mu****on detonated.

Both children suffered grave injuries —ultimately leading to Muhammad’s death, while Hussein remains hospitalized. Seven months earlier, the children’s father, Ali Ibrahim, was killed by Israel in the same home during an attack on the village.

Since late 2023, Israel has killed nearly 9,000 people and injured tens of thousands in Lebanon. Unexploded Israeli mu****ons and death traps remain scattered across southern Lebanon, killing and maiming hundreds of children, like Muhammad and Hussein. Explosive remnants left after Israeli strikes threaten the lives of residents, as Israel continues attacks on Lebanon.

Following Israel’s attempted ground invasion of Gaza City today, Israeli warplanes launched a series of brutal air strikes to cover the withdrawal of occupation forces. The Israeli bombardment killed and injured more than a dozen Palestinians, including children.

Israel has continued to bomb every part of Gaza at a near daily frequency, killing over 1,300 Palestinians since the so-called ceasefire agreement was signed in October 2025. Every single day, Israel violates the terms of the ceasefire agreement, while continuing to impose a blockade on Gaza that prevents the entry of humanitarian goods, life essentials, medical supplies, and fuel.

The governments of the United States, Canada, and Europe brazenly lie and say there is a ceasefire in Gaza, while Palestinians on the ground continue to face down the violent reality of Israel’s genocide, funded and propped up by the same imperialist powers who claim the war is over.

We demand a two-way arms embargo and sanctions against Israel. Until the blockade is ended, the occupation defeated, and the Zionist project dismantled, the struggle for liberation will continue.

THREE YEARS OF GENOCIDE. MARCH FOR PALESTINE.

On October 10, we take the streets to mark three years since Israel’s genocide on Gaza began.

Our demand is clear: a full two-way arms embargo and sanctions on Israel. The masses of the world stand with Gaza, and we are not going anywhere.

Our people in Gaza have endured over 1,000 days of bombing, starvation, and occupation. We owe them our presence. As imperialist powers attempt to steer the political future of Gaza, we must confront and oppose their efforts to liquidate the Palestinian struggle. We must hold the governments of the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Arab states fully accountable for continuing to enable and fund the genocide.

This is a day to reenergize our movement and renew our undying commitment to Palestine and its people. The genocide must end. Until Gaza’s soil and sky are no longer occupied, until the blockade is lifted, and until every criminal with our people’s blood on their hands is brought to justice, we will not rest.

Today we honor the life of Naji al-Ali, revered Palestinian cartoonist and political icon, on the 39th anniversary of his assassination. Al-Ali was best known for his drawings of Handala, a cartoon of a Palestinian child with his hands behind his back that has become a prominent national symbol of Palestinian resistance and the right of return. Naji Al-Ali’s legacy lives on through Handala, and through his political cartoons, which have had a deep and lasting impact on the Palestinian imagination.

Naji Al-Ali’s works reflected the collective conscience of the Palestinian people. Through his cartoons, he provided sharp critiques of US imperialism, Arab reactionary regimes and the Palestinian elite. Naji believed that Palestine would be liberated only through protracted struggle, and never through normalization or capitulation. His work and legacy will continue to shape Palestinian art and resistance for generations to come.

ANNIVERSARY OF THE IOF DOUBLE TAP STRIKE ON NASSER MEDICAL COMPLEX

One year ago today, an Israeli double tap strike on Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis murdered 22 Palestinians, including the targeted killing of an entire crew of journalists. Israel targeted the fourth floor of the hospital, one of the few remaining areas in Khan Younis with relatively stable internet access where journalists routinely conducted their work and went live to cover the US-Israeli genocide.

In the initial strike, the IOF assassinated Hossam al-Masri, who, to the IOF’s knowledge, had set up a livestream for Reuters on the balcony of Nasser Hospital. A number of civil defense crews, five journalists and medical staff heroically rushed to the scene to document the war crime, locate any survivors, and retrieve the bodies of the martyrs. Then minutes later and live on air, Israel struck again with two additional bombs. The entirety of the attack was documented for us to continue to bear witness to today

Days before the strike, the same Reuters live stream set up by Hossam al-Masri at the same location captured footage of IOF bulldozers demolishing buildings in southern Gaza. Israel intentionally targeted and murdered six journalists and 16 others in an attempt to bury their war crimes. Despite Israel’s attempts to cover up their crimes, the blood-lust of Zionism has been documented by brave Palestinian journalists and etched into the minds of people across the world.

Glory to the martyrs of truth who, a year ago today, paid the highest sacrifice to expose zionist war crimes: Maryam Abu Daqa, Mohammed Salama, Ahmad Abu Aziz, Hossam al-Masri, Moaz Abu Taha, and Hassan Douhan.

Sliman Mansour, a titan of Palestinian art, has passed away at the age of 79. Born in 1947, on the eve of the Palestinian Nakba, Sliman grew up in a homeland under occupation. His art was an expression of his desire to give a “home to the homeless” by bearing witness to the struggles and steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

As a young artist in the 1970s, he pushed for the inclusion of art and cultural production in the Palestinian national liberation movement. During the First Intifada, he cofounded an art collective that promoted the boycott of Israeli art products and experimented with creating art using local materials such as mud and leather. In his later years, he dedicated himself to supporting the development of art institutions that could provide a home to the next generation of Palestinian artists.

He captured scenes of everyday life in his paintings: communal meals, olive harvests, love stories, military checkpoints, and funeral processions. He is responsible for some of the most iconic pieces of Palestinian art. His painting, “The Camel of Hardship,” which depicts a Palestinian porter carrying Jerusalem on his back, adorns homes across Palestine and the disapora. Throughout his career, he maintained a commitment to documenting the stories of Palestine’s martyrs, such as 17-year-old Lina Al-Nabulsi and the victims of the Tal Al-Zaatar massacre.

Sliman drew inspiration from Palestine’s refugees, prisoners, farmers, and workers. His paintings not only communicated the Palestinian struggle to the world, but also addressed Palestinian audiences directly. In the face of unyielding Zionist assaults, he understood that the transmission of Palestine culture through art was crucial to preserving of Palestinian identity and the national struggle. We mourn his loss, and uplift the legacy of the resistance art he bequeathed to us all.
