- تجريف مساحات واسعة من الأراضي المزروعة بالحمضيات من قبل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي
- ارتفاع تكاليف الإنتاج والنقل بسبب الحصار المفروض من قبل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي علي قطاع غزة
- تقليص المساحات المزروعة بالحمضيات بسبب النقص الحاد في المياه المتاحة للري.

The area of flower cultivation has shrunk from about 1,000 dunums in 2000 to less than 10 dunums in the past few years, as a result of ban on export by the Israeli Occupation. The cost for planting one dunum of flowers is about $9,000, and selling in the local market doesn't cover the expenses.

تقلصت مساحة زراعة الزهور من نحو 1000 دونم عام 2000 الى اقل من 10 دونمات في الاعوام القليلة الماضية، نتيجة عدم السماح بتصديره للخارج من قبل الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، حيث تكلف زراعة دونم واحد من الزهور حوالي 9000 دولار، والتكلفة لا تغطي تكلفة بيعه في السوق المحلي.
