في دورا، شارك مدير التعاون في الاتحاد الأوروبي، ماريو جوزيبي فارينتي، إلى جانب وزير الزراعة رزق سليمية، ومحافظ الخليل خالد دودين وممثلين محليين ومزارعين فلسطينيين في تسليم معدات زراعية ممولة من الاتحاد الأوروبي.
وتأتي المعدات التي تم تسليمها أمس في إطار برنامج ممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي بقيمة 1.8 مليون يورو، يهدف إلى تزويد المزارعين الفلسطينيين بالمعدات والمواد والبنية التحتية اللازمة لتعزيز إنتاجهم ودعم سبل عيشهم. ويشكل هذا الدعم جزءاً من برنامج أوسع بقيمة 7 ملايين يورو لتطوير قطاع الثروة الحيوانية الفلسطيني، يساهم الاتحاد الأوروبي فيه بمبلغ 5 ملايين يورو.
ومن دورا، أعلن الاتحاد الأوروبي أيضاً عن خطط لتقديم دعم إضافي لبرنامج الزراعة، مع التركيز بشكل خاص على المزارعين المتضررين من الممارسات المرتبطة بالاحتلال وعنف المستوطنين.
وفي وقت تفرض فيه القيود على الوصول إلى الأراضي والموارد الطبيعية وارتفاع التكاليف وتغير المناخ وعنف المستوطنين ضغوطاً متزايدة على المزارعين الفلسطينيين، يواصل الاتحاد الأوروبي التزامه بدعم سبل عيشهم وتعزيز صمودهم وقدرتهم على البقاء في أراضيهم.
 

In Dura, EU Head of Cooperation Mario Guiseppe Varrenti joined Minister of Agriculture Rizeq Salamia, Governor Khalid Dodeen, local representatives and Palestinian farmers for the handover of EU-funded agricultural equipment.
The equipment handed over yesterday is part of an EU-funded intervention of €1.8 million, providing Palestinian farmers with equipment, materials and infrastructure to strengthen their production and livelihoods. It forms part of a broader €7 million programme supporting the development of the Palestinian livestock sector, including €5 million from the European Union.
From Dura, the EU also announced plans for additional EU support to the Agriculture Programme, with a particular focus on farmers affected by occupation-related practices and settler violence.
At a time when restrictions on access to land and natural resources, rising costs, climate change and settler violence are placing increasing pressure on Palestinian farmers, the European Union remains committed to supporting their livelihoods, resilience and ability to remain on their land.

زار ممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي ألكسندر شتوتسمان عدداً من أبرز المعالم التاريخية والثقافية في نابلس، وتعرّف عن قرب على إرثها الغني وطابعها الفريد كواحدة من أقدم المدن الفلسطينية.

واختُتمت الزيارة بعرض خاص للفيلم الوثائقي 'ليلى شهيد: الأمل في الغربة' تكريماً للدبلوماسية الفلسطينية البارزة ليلى شهيد. ونُظّم العرض في قلب البلدة القديمة في نابلس، على سطح تركواز، بمشاركة مسؤولين وقيادات مجتمعية وفنانين وشركاء وأصدقاء.

A day in Nablus, discovering the history, culture and stories that make this city so special.

EU Representative Alexandre Stutzmann visited some of Nablus’ most iconic historic and cultural landmarks, taking in the rich heritage and unique character of one of Palestine’s oldest cities.

The visit concluded with a special screening of the documentary “Leila Shahid: Hope in Exile”, held in tribute to the remarkable Palestinian diplomat Leila Shahid. The screening was organised in the heart of the old city of Nablus, at the Turquoise Hostel, and brought together officials, community leaders, artists, partners and friends.

التقى ممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي ألكسندر شتوتسمان بالرئيس محمود عباس في لقاء وداعي، استعرضا خلاله ثلاثة أعوام من التواصل الوثيق والتعاون بين الاتحاد الأوروبي وفلسطين.

وخلال اللقاء، منح الرئيس عباس ممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي نجمة القدس تقديراً لإسهاماته في تعزيز العلاقات بين فلسطين والاتحاد الأوروبي.

وعلى مدار فترة ولايته، عمل ممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي بشكل وثيق مع القيادة والمؤسسات والمجتمعات الفلسطينية في مرحلة اتسمت بتحديات استثنائية، مساهماً في تعزيز الشراكة الراسخة بين الاتحاد الأوروبي وفلسطين ودعم الاتحاد المستمر للشعب الفلسطيني.

EU Representative Alexandre Stutzmann met with President Mahmoud Abbas for a farewell meeting, reflecting on three years of close engagement and cooperation between the European Union and Palestine.

During the meeting, President Abbas awarded the EU Representative the Star of Jerusalem in recognition of his contribution to strengthening relations between Palestine and the European Union.

Throughout his mandate, the EU Representative worked closely with the Palestinian leadership, institutions and communities at a particularly challenging time, advancing the EU’s longstanding partnership with Palestine and its support for the Palestinian people.

The European Union remains firmly committed to the Palestinian people and to working towards a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.

EU Representative Alexandre Stutzmann held farewell meetings with His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine, and His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.

The meetings reflected on the close engagement and dialogue throughout his mandate, as well as on the vital role of Jerusalem’s Christian community and churches in preserving the city’s unique religious and cultural heritage.

The EU Representative expressed his appreciation to both Patriarchs for their continued engagement and partnership and reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to safeguarding the Status Quo and the special character of Jerusalem.

أمسية مميزة في رام الله جمعت مسؤولين فلسطينيين وشركاء وأصدقاء، لتكريم شخصية فلسطينية استثنائية، ولتوديع ممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي ألكسندر شتوتسمان مع اقتراب انتهاء مهامه في فلسطين.
في متحف محمود درويش، استذكرنا الراحلة ليلى شهيد من خلال عرض الفيلم الوثائقي “ليلى شهيد: الأمل في الغربة. فقد كرّست ليلى شهيد، الدبلوماسية البارزة والمدافعة الدؤوبة عن فلسطين، عقوداً من حياتها لإيصال القضية الفلسطينية وصوت شعبها وثقافتها إلى العالم. وبصوتها المؤثر وإصرارها وقدرتها المميزة على بناء الجسور، تركت إرثاً راسخاً في فلسطين وأوروبا.
كما شكّلت الأمسية مناسبة لممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي ألكسندر شتوتسمان لتوديع الشركاء والأصدقاء بعد ثلاث سنوات أمضاها في فلسطين، تميزت بالعلاقات الوثيقة مع المؤسسات الفلسطينية والمجتمع المدني والفاعلين في المجال الثقافي والمجتمعات المحلية في مختلف أنحاء فلسطين.

A special evening in Ramallah, bringing together Palestinian officials, partners and friends to honour a remarkable Palestinian figure and bid farewell to EU Representative Alexandre Stutzmann as he concludes his mandate in Palestine.
At the Mahmoud Darwish Museum, we paid tribute to the late Leila Shahid with a screening of the documentary Leila Shahid: Hope in Exile. A distinguished diplomat and tireless advocate for Palestine, Leila Shahid dedicated decades of her life to bringing the Palestinian cause, its people and its culture closer to audiences around the world. Her voice, determination and remarkable ability to build bridges left a lasting mark in Palestine and across Europe.
The evening was also an opportunity for EU Representative Alexandre Stutzmann to bid farewell to Palestinian partners and friends after three years in Palestine. Those years were shaped by close engagement with Palestinian institutions, civil society, cultural actors and communities across Palestine.
Our sincere thanks to the Mahmoud Darwish Foundation for its collaboration and for providing such a meaningful setting for this gathering.

This database will be one of the sources for EUREP Office to identify and invite tenderers for those specific services. The services are to be performed in Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The European Union Representative Alexandre Stutzmann, joined by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Hani Al-Hayek, Minister of Culture Imad Hamdan, and other distinguished guests, gathered at Wonder Cabinet in Bethlehem for the opening of Mothanna Hussein’s solo exhibition. The evening also marked the conclusion of Mr. Stutzmann’s mandate as European Union Representative to the West Bank and Gaza Strip — a fitting occasion to celebrate his longstanding engagement with Bethlehem’s vibrant cultural community and institutions that continue to enrich Palestinian cultural life. شارك ممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي ألكسندر شتوتسمان، إلى جانب وزير السياحة والآثار هاني الحايك ووزير الثقافة عماد حمدان وعدد من الضيوف، في افتتاح المعرض الفردي للفنان مثنى حسين في مجلس العجب في بيت لحم. كما شكّلت الأمسية مناسبة لاختتام مهام السيد شتوتسمان ممثلًا للاتحاد الأوروبي لدى الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة، وفرصة للاحتفاء بعلاقته الممتدة مع المشهد الثقافي الحيوي في بيت لحم، وبالمؤسسات التي تواصل إثراء الحياة الثقافية الفلسطينية.

بمناسبة انتهاء مهامه في فلسطين، عقد ممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي ألكسندر شتوتسمان لقاءات وداعية مع نائب الرئيس الفلسطيني حسين الشيخ، ورئيس الوزراء  د. محمد مصطفى، ووزيرة الخارجية والمغتربين د. فارسين أغابيكيان شاهين.
وشكّلت هذه اللقاءات فرصة لاستعراض التعاون والتواصل الوثيق والمستمر بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والقيادة الفلسطينية على مدار السنوات الثلاث الماضية إلى جانب تبادل وجهات النظر حول آخر التطورات السياسية والتحديات الجسيمة التي يواجهها الشعب الفلسطيني.
وعلى مدار فترة ولايته، عمل ممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي بشكل وثيق مع الشركاء الفلسطينيين على مجموعة واسعة من الأولويات، بدءًا من الجهود السياسية والدبلوماسية ودعم الحقوق الفلسطينية وإقامة الدولة الفلسطينية، وصولًا إلى تعزيز المؤسسات، وتطبيق الإصلاحات ودعم الخدمات العامة الأساسية وتعزيز الصمود الاقتصادي والقطاع الخاص الفلسطيني.

As his mandate comes to an end, EU Representative Alexandre Stutzmann held farewell meetings with Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh, Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin.
The meetings offered an opportunity to reflect on the close and continuous engagement between the European Union and the Palestinian leadership over the past three years, while exchanging on the latest political developments and the profound challenges facing the Palestinian people.
Throughout his tenure, the EU Representative worked closely with Palestinian partners across a wide range of priorities — from political and diplomatic efforts and support for Palestinian rights and statehood, to strengthening institutions, advancing reforms, supporting essential public services, economic resilience and the Palestinian private sector.
The European Union remains firmly committed to supporting the Palestinian people and institutions and working towards a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.

مع مبادرة “فلسطين عَ البسكليت” في أريحا! أمسية مميزة أتاحت فرصة لاكتشاف واحدة من أقدم مدن فلسطين والعالم من منظور مختلف.

شارك ممثل الاتحاد الأوروبي ألكسندر شتوتسمان، إلى جانب ممثلين عن الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأوروبي والدكتورة دلال عريقات ورئيس بلدية أريحا سالم غروف في جولة بالدراجات الهوائية في مدينة أريحا دعماً لمبادرة “فلسطين عَ البسكليت”. كما التقى الوفد بمحافظ أريحا والأغوار حسين حمايل، وزار قصر هشام، أحد أبرز المعالم التاريخية في المدينة.

فخورون بدعم المبادرات التي تعزز التماسك المجتمعي وتسلط الضوء على التراث الثقافي الفلسطيني الغني من خلال أنشطة تشمل جميع الفلسطينيين.

With in Jericho! A remarkable evening that showcased one of the world’s and Palestine’s oldest cities from a different perspective.

EU Representative Alexandre Stutzmann joined representatives of EU Member States, Dr. Dalal Iriqat, and the Mayor of Jericho, Salem Ghrouf, for a cycling tour through Jericho in support of the Cycling Palestine initiative. During the visit, the delegation also met with the Governor, Hussein Hamayel, and visited Hisham’s Palace.

The European Union is proud to support initiatives that strengthen communities and showcase Palestine’s rich cultural heritage through sustainable and inclusive activities.
