🇩🇪🤝🇶🇦 German members of parliament Dr. Norbert Röttgen and Alexander Radwan and visited Doha yesterday, where they met, among others, with Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, and Dr. Majed Al Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on regional developments, including diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote security and stability in the region.

An important opportunity for dialogue and exchange between Germany and Qatar!

🇩🇪🤝🇶🇦 Dr. Géza Andreas von Geyr, State Secretary of the German Federal Foreign Office, visited Doha on Wednesday, where he held a series of meetings with high-level Qatari officials, including Dr. Majed Al Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Discussions focused on the relations between our two countries and latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalation and the promotion of security and stability in the region and beyond.

The visit also included a meeting with the Managing Directors of Al Jazeera Arabic and English, Barzan Holdings and a stop at the National Museum of Qatar, offering insights into Qatar’s rich history and cultural heritage.

A successful visit in every respect!

🇩🇪🤝🇶🇦 زار الدكتور غيزا أندرياس فون غاير، وزير الدولة في وزارة الخارجية الألمانية، الدوحة يوم الأربعاء، حيث عقد سلسلة من اللقاءات مع كبار المسؤولين القطريين، من بينهم الدكتور ماجد الأنصاري، مستشار رئيس مجلس الوزراء والمتحدث الرسمي باسم وزارة الخارجية.

وركزت المباحثات على العلاقات بين بلدينا وآخر التطورات الإقليمية، لا سيما الجهود الدبلوماسية والتنسيق المشترك الرامي إلى خفض التصعيد وتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة وخارجها.

كما شملت الزيارة لقاءات مع المديرين العامين لقناتي الجزيرة العربية والجزيرة الإنجليزية، وشركة برزان القابضة، بالإضافة إلى زيارة متحف قطر الوطني، حيث اطّلع على تاريخ قطر العريق وتراثها الثقافي الغني.

While in Germany in September, Ambassador Oliver Owcza joined high-level events in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, organised by the German-Qatar Institute, to further strengthen the cooperation between 🇶🇦 & 🇩🇪 in business, investment, science, research and higher education.

His message as keynote speaker: There is plenty of potential to explore - and the best way to discover it is through mutual visits and personal exchanges. 🇩🇪🤝🇶🇦

A full house for the first German Tech Talk Qatar! 🇩🇪🇶🇦🤖

Yesterday, the German Embassy and Siemens Qatar - with the support of the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) - hosted the inaugural German Tech Talk under the theme “Industrial AI: Rethinking AI for the Real World.”

In his opening remarks, Ambassador Oliver Owcza highlighted the importance of the German-Qatari partnership in technological leadership and our shared potential to drive innovation and shape the technologies of tomorrow. 🇩🇪🤝🇶🇦

Together with Siemens Qatar CEO Hakan Özdemir, MoCI Undersecretary Saleh Majid Al Khulaifi and the business & academic community, he listened to a keynote and a panel discussion about how industrial AI is transforming industries and opening new opportunities for Qatar’s technological future.

A big thank you to all our speakers, partners and guests for making the first edition a great start. We look forward to continuing the conversation!

استضافت السفارة الألمانية في الدوحة، بالتعاون مع Siemens Qatar وبدعم من غرفة التجارة الألمانية (AHK)، أمس أولى فعاليات German Tech Talk تحت عنوان «الذكاء الاصطناعي الصناعي: إعادة التفكير في الذكاء الاصطناعي للعالم الحقيقي».

وفي كلمته الافتتاحية، أكد السفير أوليفر اوفتشا على أهمية الشراكة الألمانية-القطرية في مجال الريادة التكنولوجية، وما يجمع البلدين من إمكانات لدفع الابتكار وتطوير تقنيات المستقبل. 🇩🇪🤝🇶🇦

واستمع السفير، إلى جانب الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة Siemens Qatar هاكان أوزدمير، ووكيل وزارة التجارة والصناعة السيد صالح ماجد الخليفي، وممثلين عن قطاعي الأعمال والأوساط الأكاديمية، إلى كلمة رئيسية ونقاش حواري حول دور الذكاء الاصطناعي الصناعي في إحداث تحولات في مختلف القطاعات وفتح آفاق جديدة للمستقبل التكنولوجي في قطر.
