Qatar National Library مكتبة قطر الوطنية Qatar National Library acts as a steward of Qatar’s national heritage by collecting, preserving and making available the country’s recorded history.

Qatar National Library (QNL) is a non-profit organisation under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF). QNL is supporting Qatar on its journey from a carbon-based economy to knowledge-based economy by providing resources to students, researchers, and the community in Qatar. Qatar National Library (QNL) carries out its mission through three functions:

National Library, University and Research Library, and a Metropolitan Public Library of the digital age. The National Library function collects and provides access to global knowledge relevant to Qatar and the region. It also collects, preserves, and provides access to heritage content and materials about Qatar and the region. The University and Research Library function supports education and research at all levels by providing printed and digital library materials for students and researchers. Metropolitan Public Library delivers library services and information for everyone to enjoy reading, meet people, and become information literate.

عززت مكتبتنا ومكتبة ماليزيا الوطنية علاقاتهما الثقافية والفكرية من خلال تبادل مجموعة من الكتب، بما يُتيح لجمهور جديد فرصة استكشاف تاريخ الدولتين الصديقتين وتراثهما. وقد تشرفت فعالية تبادل الكتب بحضور سعادة الدكتور حمد بن عبد العزيز الكواري، وزير الدولة ورئيس مكتبة قطر الوطنية، وسعادة السيد فيصل رزالي، سفير ماليزيا لدى دولة قطر، مما يعكس الالتزام المشترك بتعزيز التبادل الثقافي وتقوية جسور التفاهم بين البلدين.

Our Library and the National Library of Malaysia have deepened cultural and intellectual ties through a book exchange, bringing the history, heritage and perspectives of Qatar and Malaysia to new audiences. The exchange was attended by His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kawari, Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library, and His Excellency Faizal Razali, Ambassador of Malaysia to Qatar, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening cross-cultural understanding and building stronger bridges between the two nations.

من خلال الحوار البناء والكتابة التأملية الموجهة، أتاح هذا اللقاء للمشاركين فرصة التأمل في تجاربهم الشخصية واستكشاف الصفاء الذهني والوعي، ومشاعر الامتنان، ومسارات النمو الذاتي، وأساسيات التفكير الإيجابي.

تكشف المراسلات التاريخية الكثير من التفاصيل حول الأحداث والتحولات التي شهدتها المنطقة وأسهمت في تشكيل تاريخها.

لنتصفح معًا مجموعة من الرسائل باللغتين العربية والفرنسية المحفوظة ضمن مقتنيات مكتبة قطر الوطنية في لقاء يتناول المشهد السياسي في الخليج العربي في أواخر القرن التاسع عشر، ويتناول الأحداث التي أحاطت بمعركة الوجبة عام 1893.

يقدم هذه المحاضرة الدكتور معز الدريدي، أخصائي أرشيف أول بالمكتبة التراثية بمكتبة قطر الوطنية.
