Qatar is a growing country, and to accommodate this growth, a new, sustainable, and efficient way of getting both people and freight around the country was needed. Established by Emiri decree in 2011, Qatar Rail was given the mandate to design and develop the country’s rail network, and after the rail projects are completed, manage, operate, and maintain them. Qatar Rail’s answer to Qatar’s transp

ortation challenges lies in three major projects:

• The Doha Metro: a mostly underground rail network which connects communities within Doha and its suburbs
• The Lusail Light Rail Transit (LLRT): a tram network providing comfortable and convenient travel within the new city of Lusail
• The Long Distance Passenger and Freight Rail: connecting cities in the north and west with Doha, and the country with the forthcoming GCC rail system

سعداء بتكريم شركة الرّيل من قبل قطر للسياحة تقديراً لدعم برنامج المخيم الصيفي، وقد تسلّم التكريم نيابةً عن شركة الرّيل السيد محمد آل خليفة رئيس قطاع الدعم المؤسسي. وقد استضافت شركة الرّيل خلال فصل الصيف، عدداً من الزياراتٍ التعليمية إلى شبكة مترو الدوحة، أتاحت الفرصة لمنتسبي النادي التعرّف على خدماتنا وعملياتنا التشغيلية.

We are pleased to be recognized by Qatar Tourism for our support of the KidzMondo and Qatar Tourism Summer Camp Programme. Qatar Rail was represented by Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chief of Corporate Support, who received the recognition on behalf of the company. As part of the programme, Qatar Rail hosted educational visits to the network throughout the summer, giving young campers the opportunity to learn more about our services, and operations.

سعدنا في شركة الرّيل باستقبال الطلبة ضمن برنامج الزيارات المدرسية خلال العام الأكاديمي الماضي، حيث أتيحت لهم فرصة التعرّف على شبكة مترو الدوحة وترام لوسيل ودورهما في دعم التنمية المستدامة. ومع انطلاقة العام الدراسي الجديد، نتطلع لمواصلة البرنامج وتقديم المزيد من الزيارات التعليمية التي تثري معارف الطلبة وتعزز وعيهم بأهمية النقل المستدام والسلامة واستخدام وسائل النقل العام.

أعلنت شركة الريل عن رعايتها ومشاركتها في النسخة الثانية من المنتدى الدولي للنقل الكهربائي والتنقل ذاتي القيادة، الذي يقام تحت رعاية وزارة المواصلات في مركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات بالفترة من 7 إلى 9 سبتمبر 2026 وذلك خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الذي تم عقده اليوم، ويمكن لزوار جناح شركة الرّيل في المعرض المصاحب للمنتدى التعرف عن قرب على حلول النقل المستدام التي تقدمها الشركة ودورها في دعم منظومة النقل العام في دولة قطر

Qatar Rail announced its sponsorship and participation in the 2nd edition of the Autonomous e-Mobility Forum, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport at the QNCC from 7th to 9th September 2026 during a press conference held today. بالتعاون مع مركز ستب باي ستب للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، سعدنا باستضافة وفد طلابي من المركز في زيارة ميدانية استكشافية شملت عددا من مرافق ومحطات . وخلال الزيارة، تعرف المشاركون عن قرب على طبيعة العمليات التشغيلية والخدمات عالمية المستوى المقدمة عبر الشبكة، لاسيما الخدمات والتجهيزات المخصصة لتيسير تنقل
العملاء من ذوي الإعاقة.

In collaboration with , we were pleased to host a student delegation from the centre on an exploratory field visit to several facilities and stations. During the visit, participants gained a closer look at our operations and the world-class services delivered across the network, particularly the facilities designed to support the travel experience of customers with disabilities.
