لا يُقاس الإرث بما تخلّده الصروح فحسب، بل بما يبقى منه حيًّا في الناس.

بدأت حكاية علي أبو الشيخ مع هذا الإرث في عام 2012، حين شهد في غزة الزيارة التاريخية لصاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، رحمه الله.

ومضت الأعوام، حتى قادته منحة دراسية في جامعة حمد بن خليفة إلى قطر، وامتد أثر رؤية سموه إلى حكايته هو أيضًا. واليوم، عاد علي إلى مؤسسة قطر، هذه المرة ككاتب محتوى في واحة قطر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا.

وبعد شهر على رحيل سموه، يستعيد علي خيوط هذه الحكاية، ويتأمل إرثًا لم يدرك عمق أثره في رحلته إلا مع مرور الوقت.

A legacy is found not only in what remains standing, but in the people whose lives carry its impact forward.

For Ali Abusheikh, that legacy reaches back to Gaza in 2012, when he watched the historic visit of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the late Father Amir of Qatar.

Years later, an Hamad Bin Khalifa University scholarship brought Ali to Qatar, where His Highness’s vision would become part of his own story. Today, he is back at Qatar Foundation as a Content Writer at QSTP.

A month after His Highness’s passing, Ali reflects on the journey that connected it all, and on a legacy he only came to fully understand with time.
