We look forward to welcoming you daily between 10:00 and 19:00. Eng: Bánffy Castle is the largest castle ensemble in Transylvania. Formerly known as the Transylvanian Versailles, was almost completely ruined by the end of the nineties. The site was included on the 100 Most Endangered Monuments List published by the World Monuments Watch in 2000. The Transylvania Trust is responsible for its restor

ation and revitalisation. We organise training programmes in historic building conservation, archaeology, art history, and also artists in residence programmes. The castle houses events of TIFF (Transylvania International Film Festival), the Electric Castle festival, as well as other cultural events. Through this we would like to set an example of sustainable development of the built heritage, and of professional conservation. Ro: Castelul Bánffy de la Bonţida este unul dintre cele mai semnificative ansambluri arhitecturale din Transilvania. Ansamblul cunoscut odinioară ca Versailles-ul Transilvan a ajuns la sfârşitul anilor nouăzeci într-o stare de ruină. Castelul a fost inclus pe lista celor mai periclitate 100 de site-uri, întocmită de World Monuments Watch în 2000. Fundaţia Transilvania Trust este responsabilă pentru restaurarea și revitalizarea castelului. Organizăm cursuri de restaurare a monumentelor istorice cât și programe de rezidență pentru artiști. O parte din evenimentele TIFF au loc la castel, și la noi are loc festivalul Electric Castle. Nunți, evenimente corporate..toată lumea se simte acasă la noi! Prin activitățile noastre dorim să arătăm că patrimoniul construit nu este doar o parte a trecutului, ci un loc, unde ne simțim cu toții bine, de care ne bucurăm. Hu: A bonchidai Bánffy kastély Erdély egyik legjelentősebb kastély-együttese. Az egykori Erdély Versailles a kilencvenes évek végére teljesen romos állapotba került. A World Monuments Watch 2000-ben felvette a világ 100 legveszélyeztetettebb épületének listájára. A Transylvania Trust Alapítvány célja az épületegyüttes minőségi felújítása és hasznosítása. Oktatási programokat (műemlékfelújítás, művészettörténészek, régészek képzése) szervezünk, artists in residence programok és különböző gyermektevékenységek helyszíne a kastély. A múlt héten a Szabók Bástyájában került sor „A digitális kortárs művészet összefüggései: tömegkultúra, elitizmus és projektalapú gyakorlatok” című szakmai panelbeszélgetésünkre. Öröm volt együtt körbejárni a digitális kortárs művészet aktuális kérdéseit, lehetőségeit és kihívásait.

Săptămâna trecută, în Turnul Croitorilor, a avut loc masa rotundă profesională „Conexiunile artei contemporane digitale: cultură de masă, elitism și practici bazate pe proiecte”. Ne-am bucurat să explorăm împreună întrebările, oportunitățile și provocările actuale ale artei contemporane digitale.

🏛️ Se restaurează cornișa din curtea de onoare a castelului! 🛠️

Lucrările de restaurare sunt în plină desfășurare în curtea de onoare, unde se intervine asupra cornișei. Pe schelă, la înălțime, rolul principal le revine pietrarilor: este în curs restaurarea elementelor de cornișă din piatră cioplită prin plombări cu mortar de similipiatră, repozitionarea corectă a pieselor deplasate ,consolidarea a suprafețelor degradate , curățarea rosturilor de mortarele pe baza de ciment, biocidare , hidrofobizare, astfel încât acest element arhitectural definitoriu al grajdului, clădirii porții și remizei de trăsuri să poată străluci din nou în splendoarea sa originală. 🪨✨

Zajlanak a helyreállítási munkálatok a díszudvarban, ahol a főpárkány javításán dolgoznak. Az állvány tetején zajló munkálatok során a kőfaragóké a főszerep: folyamatban van a sérült, illetve hiányzó tagozatok pótlása kőpótló habarccsal, az elmozdult párkányelemek újrahelyezése, az eredeti, málló felületek szilárdítása, a korábbi cementes habarcsok eltávolítása, vegyszeres csírátlanítás, valamint vegyi vízhatlanítás, hogy az istálló, a kapuépület és a hintószín e meghatározó építészeti eleme újra eredeti pompájában tündökölhessen. 🪨✨

🏛️ The cornice of the castle's court d’honneur is being restored! 🛠️

Restoration work is underway in the court d’honneur, focusing on the repair of the cornice. High up on the scaffolding, stone carvers take centre stage: the process includes restoration of carved stone cornice elements through patching with stone repair mortar, correct repositioning of shifted pieces, consolidation of degraded surfaces, cleaning of joints from cementitious mortars, biocidal treatment, and hydrophobic treatment, so that this defining architectural feature of the stables, gate building and carriage house can once again reveal its original splendour. 🪨✨

🎨 Frescă, sgraffito și stucco marmorino în cadrul atelierului de tehnici decorative murale! 🏛️

Participanții taberei descoperă unele dintre cele mai spectaculoase tehnici istorice de finisare și decorare a suprafețelor. În cadrul atelierului, aceștia experimentează direct pictura pe tencuială proaspătă de var (frescă), realizarea modelelor prin răzuirea stratului superior de tencuială pentru a scoate la iveală stratul de dedesubt (sgraffito), precum și obținerea unor suprafețe decorative cu aspect de marmură (stucco marmorino). 🖌️

✨ Accentul se pune pe materialele naturale pe bază de var și însușirea unor tehnici meșteșugărești ce necesită precizie și îndemânare.

Proiect susținut de Ordinul Arhitecților din România, din timbrul de arhitectură, The King’s Foundation, Fundația Communitas și Fondul Cultural Național, Ungaria.

A résztvevők a történeti felületképzés néhány különleges technikájával is találkoznak a tábor során. A műhelyben kipróbálhatják a friss mészvakolatra való festést (freskó), a felső vakolatréteg visszakaparásával készülő mintázást (sgraffito), valamint a márvány hatású, nemes felületek kialakítását (stucco marmorino). 🖌️

✨ A fókuszban a természetes mészalapú anyagok és a precíz, kézműves technikák elsajátítása áll.

A projektet a Romániai Építészkamara, az építészeti bélyegadó révén, a The King’s Foundation, a Communitas Alapítvány és a Nemzeti Kulturális Alap támogatja .

🎨 Fresco, sgraffito and stucco marmorino at the mural decoration techniques’ workshop! 🏛️

Participants gain insight into some of the most beautiful historic surface finishing techniques. In the workshop, they acquire hands-on experience in painting on fresh lime plaster (fresco), creating patterns by scraping back the upper layer of plaster to reveal the layer beneath (sgraffito) and producing decorative surfaces with a marble-like finish (stucco marmorino). 🖌️

✨ The focus is on natural lime-based materials and mastering precise, traditional craftsmanship.

This Project is supported by the Romanian Order of Architects, from the architectural stamp duty, by The King’s Foundation, by the Communitas Foundation and by the National Cultural Fund, Hungary.

🎨 Hogyan alakítja a digitális világ a kortárs művészetet?

Ma már a digitális technológiák a művészeti alkotás és a művészettel való találkozás természetes részei. De vajon valóban mindenkihez közelebb hozzák a művészetet? Inkább a tömegkultúra felé nyitnak, vagy továbbra is egy szűkebb közönséget szólítanak meg? És milyen hatással van az alkotói szabadságra az egyre elterjedtebb projektalapú működés?

Ha érdekel, hogyan változik a kortárs művészet a digitális térben, és kíváncsi vagy, hogyan látják ezeket a kérdéseket aktív művészek és oktatók, várunk a „A digitális kortárs művészet összefüggései: tömegkultúra, elitizmus és projektalapú gyakorlatok” című beszélgetésen.
