๐ Strengthening cross-border cooperation for safer communities!
The Suceava County Police Inspectorate hosted the third workshop of the ALERT project (ROUA00081), bringing together Romanian and Ukrainian law enforcement experts to exchange experience and good practices in crime scene investigation, victim identification, and modern forensic and cyber-forensic technologies. ๐ท๐ด๐บ๐ฆ

Suceava County Police Inspectorate, Romania and The Main Department of the National Police in Chernivtsi Region, Ukraine.
Total budget 417,615.00 EUR out of which 375,853.49 EUR represents EU funding through Interreg VI-A NEXT RomaniaโUkraine 2021-2027 Programme
Project objective:
Enhancing the law enforcement operational capacity in the field of forensic research in the cross-border area of Suceava and Chernivtsi, through developing a common action plan and joint training.
Results and main activities:
- endowment of Suceava County Police Inspectorate (4x4 mobile forensic laboratory, advanced image and video processing software, and other essential forensic tools)
- endowment of the Main Department of the National Police in the Chernivtsi Region (a mobile digital forensic laboratory, equipped with critical digital forensic tools, including a rotating robotic video camera with automatic face recognition, IP video recording with sophisticated robotic video surveillance camera manipulator, dome surveillance cameras for comprehensive perimeter monitoring, etc)
- 1 Plan for Cooperation in the Forensic Field of Crime Scene Investigation and Digital Forensics developed
- 4 workshops (legislation, exchange of practices, advanced methods for crime scene investigation, techniques for digital data recovery)
- 2 organisations cooperating across border
