Job opening: Financial specialist
We are looking to hire a financial specialist to join our team to work on financial analysis of investments in urban infrastructure and sustainable energy. The financial analysis and modelling entails analysis of current financial situation of municipalities, public utilities and companies together with an assessment of the financial outcome of modernization projects for these.
Specific tasks include:
- Financial analysis of infrastructure projects
- Pricing of urban and environmental services based on cost recovery and affordability principles
- Calculating financial indicators (NPV, IRR, Cost-benefit ratio, payback period)
Additional tasks and areas of activity in time may include:
- Use of economic instruments, including market-based instruments such as emission trading for market development and green growth
- Analysing and developing green financing mechanisms
- Cost-benefit assessment of investments and policies
- Designing business models for green development projects
- Costing resettlement plans and livelihood restoration plans
- Working with the sustainable finance frameworks such as EU green taxonomy, Taskforce for Climate and Nature-related Financial Disclosure, etc.
Qualifications:
- University degree in finance or economics
- Advanced user of Excel
- Fluent in Romanian and English
- Experience working as a financial specialist with an insight into investment planning is a plus
- Additional language skills are a plus
