🇸🇾➡️ Syrian security forces have foiled a large-scale plot to destabilize the country, dismantling a terrorist cell during coordinated raids across Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Tartus, and Latakia.
The cell was linked to Iranian-Backed Hezbollah, with members trained in Lebanon and planning assassinations targeting senior government officials.
All the terrorists were arrested in what officials described as a preemptive operation to protect national security. Security units also seized a significant cache of weapons, including improvised explosive devices prepared for detonation, rocket-propelled gr***de launchers, rifles, hand gr***des, ammunition, and surveillance equipment, indicating an advanced level of operational readiness.
Hezbollah denied its involvement.
