Our Christmas performances finally took place on the 8th of January, the day of Orthodox Russian Christmas! It was bright, fascinating, beautiful and, we hope, touching.

We thank all the spectators who came and gave their children a piece of Christmas joy! Thank you for your kind words of gratitude and your feedback! It is very valuable to us and helps us grow in our work and ministry.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank all of our supporters who donated finances for the implementation of this project - the performance and the 1200 sweet Christmas gifts that were given out to orphans and children from needy families of Izhevsk.

We also are so thankful to the entire team of volunteers, directors and artists who each year invest their time, energy, talents and abilities in this project!
Thank you! You are incredible! The work of each of you is precious in God’s eyes.

As always, we are waiting for professional photos and videos, but for now we are preparing for the next performances!

We are holding two more performances in the towns of Zavialovo and Votkinsk in Udmurtia, Russia, on the 18th and 26th of January. Please pray for the people that will attend! We want so much to pass the Good News around✨

We’re so thankful to God for our precious volunteers whose unwavering support continues💜

November burst into our autumn life with sudden snow, which means it’s time for us to tell what happened in ICHC in October. ️

✨ Our center is still open to those who need basic assistance: 14 families in difficult life situations received assistance with food, personal hygiene products and household chemicals, and also received diapers for babies.

✨ Four families where children with special needs are brought up, received assistance in paying for rehabilitation courses:
- individual classes with a defectologist for Katya,
- physical therapy classes for Ilya,
- hippotherapy classes for another boy named also Ilya
- and for Vanya with disabilities and his parent, travel costs to the place of the rehabilitation course were paid.

We’re so thankful to everyone whose hearts were open to support our ministry and help these children! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

✨ We also continue to prepare for our Christmas project charity! We have reached the stage of forming sweet gifts and taking general rehearsals - our volunteers help us a lot in solving these problems! We cannot do without you, dear ones! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who puts their time, efforts and creative energy into the Christmas project for Children!

Altogether we hope to bring the light of Christmas to every heart of every child and adult who will attend our performances!

On June 15, 2024, an organized trip to the recreation area in the village of Golyany, Udmurtia took place. The trip was organized by ICHC for the children and parents of the Club of guardians and foster parents «These children are not somebody else’s children».

Children and parents spent time outdoors, played sports, sunbathed and swam in the river of K**a, whilst in the afternoon the psychologist of ICHC held a movie training session, where women could discuss some issues revealed in a short movie and devoted some time to themselves while volunteers were keeping the children busy.

The trip was attended by 11 families with children, a psychologist and volunteers, 35 people altogether.

We hope we managed to give parents a little self-time and they had a pleasant and sincere time with their children! We believe it is essential for a good upbringing of the adopted children. We would like such trips to become a high-quality investment in child-parent relationships and we believe this kind of leisure time would help increase the well-being of the kids.

In May, work and ministry of ICHC went on:

☀️ Several families in a difficult life situation received assistance with food, personal hygiene products and household items;

☀️ a handicapped girl Taisia received help in payment for highly-cost special walking devices and a rehabilitation classes were paid for a handicapped boy Maxim;

☀️ a meeting of mothers of the Foster Parents Club took place; and we are getting ready to have a trip to a recreation area with both adopted children and their adoptive parents;

☀️ a meeting for ICHC theatre group took place in May: there new roles were distributed among actors and some details of the script were discussed. Also an important work on the music for the upcoming Christmas project is going on currently.

We try to be as helpful for the needy as we can and we want people we help to feel that God’s mercy has reached them here through ICHC assistance.

We thank everyone who supports us financially! We couldn’t have done it without your unwavering trust and assistance!

We have a prayer group here at ICHC that gather together every Wednesday evening and covers with prayer all of you who support us financially and help us in any way.

We appreciate your constant support! May the good you do go back to you! 🪃

In April ICHC continues working according to the program called “Home Where Love Belongs” that consists of several projects:

Project 1 “A HELPING HAND”: ICHC helps families in a difficult life situation with essential food, household & hygiene items, diapers for babies. In April we helped twenty families that needed such help, including eight large families, five families of refugees and five families raising a child with disabilities.
We try our best to speak to each family to discover the source of their issues and say that God’s hand has reached them with the help we provide. Many of them receive Bibles or Bibles for children. Would you please pray that the words we tell them reach their minds and souls and that God changes their lives!

Project 2 “LET’S BE MERCIFUL”: ICHC helps families where children with disabilities are brought up to pay for rehabilitation courses, travel costs to the place of treatment (if it’s located in another city), purchase rehabilitation equipment - inhalers, special walking devices, etc.

In April, six families received such assistance:
• Girls from Izhevsk Zhenya, Polina and Vlada received assistance in paying for rehab courses;
• an inhaler was bought for Sveta;
• the “crystal boy” Egor who has constitutional fragility of bones and a handicapped girl Nastya were helped in paying for travel costs to their clinics in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Project 3 “THE FUTURE BEGINS TODAY”: The Club for Adopters “These children are not somebody else’s children.” Once a month, foster mothers gather together in the office to talk with our Christian counselor and psychologist about their pressing issues, to get advice from those who find themselves in a similar situation, and just to speak out. In April, seven mothers attended our meeting.

Bright moments of ICHC Christmas performances “A Heart of Flame”

On January 8, 2024, three charity musical performances called "A Heart of flame" and based on the Snow Queen by H.C.Andersen took place, organized by the staff and volunteers of ICHC.

Almost three thousand spectators, despite the frost, came to watch the performance and to support the artists!

Almost ninety volunteers helped us on this day: they performed on stage, made makeup for the artists, helped in organizing key moments behind the stage, met children in the lobby, photographed, handed out gifts!

1200 sweet Christmas gifts were received by children from orphanages from all over the Udmurt Republic, children from families in a difficult life situation, adopted children living in families of Izhevsk. Gifts for those who were invited to the holiday, but for various reasons could not come, will be sent to the orphanages of Udmurtia.

We thank all the spectators and participants of our project for your invaluable contribution and work! Thank you for your pure creativity and the pleasure of watching it!

We thank everyone who supported our project financially throughout the preparation! Without you, this holiday would not have taken place.

In the meantime, we are waiting for professional photos, the music from the play is still playing in our heads🥳

HELPING FAMILIES in a DIFFICULT LIFE SITUATION

ICHC continues to work on its regular projects: Tuesdays and Thursdays are days when the doors of our office are open for those who have fallen into difficult situations and need help - products, hygiene and household items, diapers for babies, etc.
In November, 18 families of Izhevsk received such assistance.

We are also ready to help families where a handicapped children are brought up: this month we helped two children with disabilities to pay for their rehabilitation costs.

In the middle of the month, a film training took place for the Foster Parents Club "These children aren’t somebody else’s children": this time mothers came to the club with their teenagers. Under the guidance of our Christian psychologist, they shared their news, watched and discussed the film chosen by the psychologist. Such meetings allow mothers to "let off steam" a little, chat in a calm atmosphere of like-minded people and, if necessary, get advice on raising foster children. We thank all members of the club for their trust!
