Gabdulla Tukay Division of Tatar Philology and Culture continues traditions of more than bicentennial history of Kazan University. The Division graduates specialists in the field of the Tatar language and literature, fine arts and design, while also offering additional specializations in bachelor degree programs such as information technologies, translation, ethnic design, choreography, journalis

m and foreign languages (English, Chinese, Turkish, and Arabic). Graduates of the Division make successful careers in various areas: in education, research, culture and arts, public administration and mass media. The division takes part in the scientific life of the University. PhD candidates defend their theses at the dissertation council of the division. Tatarica Journal publishes research in philology and culture.
