The beheading of Michael Oyedokun a school teacher from Oyo, is not merely a crime; it is a dark stain upon the soul of humanity, barbaric, sinister, and too cruel for any civilized society to tolerate in silence. Michael Oyedokun was carrying chalk, not weapons; he was carrying books, not bullets. To murder him in such savage fashion is to declare war against knowledge itself.
Those who carried out this evil must understand that no hand is above the law, just as no innocent life is beneath its protection. Justice must rise, firm and unshaken, until every perpetrator is brought to account by anymeansnecessary.
For when a nation grows comfortable watching its teachers lose their heads, it slowly raises a generation without direction, without wisdom, and without light. If we remain silent while teachers are beheaded, then one day our children may indeed be taught by headless people, a tragic metaphor for a society that has allowed fear to murder reason and violence to silence learning.
