🩷 What does it mean to be a Whole Woman?

It means recognising that a woman is more than one part of herself.

Her physical health matters.
Her emotional wellbeing matters.
Her relationships matter.
Her dreams matter.
Her knowledge, ambitions, voice and future matter.

At the heart of the Whole Woman Ulinzi Movement is a simple belief: every woman deserves to be seen, cared for and empowered as a whole person.

Because every piece matters.

And when every piece is strengthened, she flourishes🌸

This is the Whole Woman. This is Ulinzi.

What does being a Whole Woman mean to you? Tell us in the comments. 👇🏾

Breast cancer was the gateway. The Whole Woman is the destination. 💗

On October 10, 2026, BCIEA proudly launches the Whole Woman UlINZI Movement; a movement born from the belief that a woman is more than a diagnosis, more than a disease, and more than one part of her story.

This is about seeing the whole woman: her health, her strength, her wellbeing, her dreams, and her future.

🌸 More than a walk. A movement.

🎀 Word of the Week: Chemotherapy

Understanding breast cancer terms can help us better support ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities.

Chemotherapy is a type of cancer treatment that uses medicines to destroy cancer cells or slow their growth. It may be used before surgery to shrink a tumour, after surgery to reduce the risk of cancer returning, or to help manage cancer that has spread.

Chemotherapy affects each person differently, and treatment plans are carefully designed by healthcare professionals based on an individual’s condition and needs.

💗 Knowledge brings understanding, and understanding helps us provide better support for those affected by breast cancer.

Take time to learn, share accurate information, and stand with those on their cancer journey.

🎗️Kigali, you showed up! 🇷🇼💗

A heartfelt congratulations to everyone who participated in yesterday’s Kigali Cancer Walk. Your presence, energy, and solidarity demonstrated the power of a community united by one important goal: improving access to cancer care in Rwanda.

The walk was more than a gathering. It was a step towards bringing a SPECT machine to Rwanda, an important diagnostic technology that can support healthcare professionals in detecting and monitoring cancer and other conditions.

But our journey doesn’t end with the walk. We must keep the momentum going.

At BCIEA, we believe in the power of awareness, early detection, timely diagnosis, and access to quality care. Together, we can continue turning awareness into action and action into meaningful change.

👣The walk continues. The mission continues.

Ready, set, let’s take the next step. 💗

Watch this space for what comes next, and keep the momentum going!

A balanced diet plays an important role in supporting your overall health and well-being.

Choosing a variety of nutritious foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, helps provide your body with the nutrients it needs.

While no single food can prevent breast cancer, making mindful choices and maintaining healthy habits can support a healthier lifestyle.

Small steps matter. Add more nourishing foods to your meals, stay informed about your health, and make choices that help your body thrive. 💗

What is one healthy food you enjoy adding to your meals? Share with us below!
