The Sri Lankan International School, Jeddah, (SLISJ) was inaugurated on 31st October 1998 under the sponsorship of the Consul General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah with the approval of the Ministry of Education, International schools, license number 13G. The school is located within ample premises in the Sharafiyah district of Jeddah, a residential location within close proximity to a large Sri Lankan co

mmunity. The school was established primarily to cater to the educational needs of the Sri Lankan Community in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and operates strictly within the guidelines and regulations for community schools as communicated by the Ministry of Education. Non-Sri Lankan students, who have obtained prior approval from the Ministry, are welcomed. The medium of instruction is primarily in the English Language. The school prides itself in maintaining high academic standards while emphasizing the importance of a well balanced approach to co and extra curricular pursuits as evident by the various clubs and societies actively operating within the school. Since its establishment the student and staff strength has steadily grown with corresponding upgrading of infrastructure facilities. In recognition of its strength the school continuously seeks to develop the talents of its students to be leaders in society.

Awards Day - 2026

Our Awards Day was a significant occasion held to celebrate and recognize the academic achievements of our students. The event highlighted the dedication, hard work, and commitment demonstrated by students throughout the academic year.

We were honoured by the presence of HE Mafusa Lafir, Acting Consul General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah, as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony reflected the importance of academic excellence and encouraged students to continue striving for higher goals in their educational journey.

⚽🔥 Friendly Football Match – Proud Moment for SLISJ! 🔥⚽

Last Sunday, our SLISJ Football Team played an exciting friendly match against Eritrean International School, and what an incredible game it was!

We witnessed amazing teamwork, determination, and true sportsmanship on the field. The improvement in our SLISJ players is clearly visible — their confidence, coordination, and fighting spirit were beyond our expectations.

Both teams performed brilliantly, but we are especially proud of how our boys gave their absolute best and played with passion until the final whistle. 👏⚽

Well done, Team SLISJ! Keep working hard, keep improving, and keep making us proud. The future looks bright! 🌟

SLISJ Football Academy successfully conducted a friendly football match with O-15 Football Club. Both teams displayed excellent performance, teamwork, and a true spirit of sportsmanship.
