The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah hosted a dinner gathering for University of the Philippines alumni in Saudi Arabia, bringing together members of the UP community for an evening of fellowship, networking, and meaningful exchanges.
The initiative, spearheaded by Consul General Rommel Romato, himself a UP alumnus, culminated in the election of interim officers tasked with leading the establishment of an accredited UP Alumni Association KSA Chapter. The newly organized chapter aims to strengthen ties among UP graduates across the Kingdom, foster greater engagement within the Filipino community, and advance the Universityโs mission of service, leadership, and excellence beyond Philippine shores.
The UP Alumni Association KSA Chapter is envisioned to further the mission of the University of the Philippines beyond the countryโs borders by promoting excellence, service, and leadership among its members. It also seeks to undertake programs and activities that will uplift the image of the Filipino, contribute to community development, and showcase the talents, achievements, and positive contributions of Filipinos in Saudi Arabia.
