Great progress on the construction of our second 50-meter jetty at the Domestic Terminal. The project is now 90% complete and is on track for completion and commissioning in late May.This new, larger, and more modern jetty will significantly enhance services for domestic vessels and passengers. It will also help ease vessel congestion, ensuring smoother and more efficient operations for all port users.

Today we join other companies, agencies, and organizations across the country and around the world in celebrating β€œ International Women’s Day 2026”.

Our female staff today joined others in Honiara for the celebrations, which included a parade and a special event at the Multi-Purpose Hall.

Over the years, Solomon Ports has made encouraging progress in welcoming more women into our workforce. Increasingly, women are taking on roles and responsibilities that were traditionally held by men, demonstrating their skills, leadership, and commitment across many areas of our operations.

Below, meet some of the extraordinary women who play an important role in keeping our port running efficiently. Through their dedication and professionalism, they contribute to the continued progress of Solomon Ports and help deliver quality services to the people of Solomon Islands.

Today, Solomon Ports was pleased to receive a courtesy visit from the Solomon Kings Football Club. The club’s vice chairman , Rabieh Krayuem, and Chairman, Donald Marahare, visited on behalf of the club and met with Solomon Ports Board Chairman, Mr. Moses Virivolomo, and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. George Rausi.

During the visit, a signed club jersey was presented to the Ports Chairman and CEO. CEO Rausi reiterated Solomon Ports’ pride in being the club’s major sponsor during its inaugural OFC Pro League season.

Solomon Ports takes great pride in supporting the football club and recognizes the unifying role that football plays in our country and among our people. The Solomon Ports Board, Management and staff wish the team all the very best as they prepare for their first-ever home match at the National Stadium this weekend against Auckland FC.

We also call on all Solomon Islanders to show their support for the team in any way they can. βš½πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡§
