🚧 Traffic information for visitors

Road 648 between Glava and Sulvik will be closed for approximately three weeks from 22 June due to roadwork near Gördsbyn, where two culverts will be replaced.

During the work, traffic will be redirected via alternative roads. Please follow the road signs and allow some extra travel time when planning your visit to Glaskogen.

🌿 A friendly reminder from the forest: tick season is here

As the days get warmer, ticks become more active in the grass, bushes and forest areas. There’s no need to worry — just a little awareness goes a long way.

If you’re hiking in Glaskogen, especially with your dog, please remember to check both yourself and your four-legged friend after your walk. Ticks often hide around the ears, neck, belly, legs and paws.

A few simple tips:
• Wear long trousers when walking through tall grass
• Stay on marked trails when possible
• Check your clothes and skin after being outdoors
• Check your dog carefully after every forest adventure
• Remove ticks as soon as possible

Enjoy the forest - just remember to do a quick tick check afterwards. 🌲🐾

Starting this Monday, you can join our guided Moose Safari adventures in Glaskogen. Throughout the summer and until the end of September, we’ll be running tours twice a week, giving you the chance to experience one of Scandinavia’s most iconic animals in its natural habitat.

🎣 Fishing season is starting in Glaskogen! 🌿

We’re ready for the season — our fishing shelf is fully stocked, and we will officially start renting out canoes, boats, and kayaks again on the 18th of May.
And don’t forget: since last year we also offer solo canoes, perfect for fishing trips on your own.

Yesterday was the first day of Metardagen — a popular Swedish tradition on Ascension Day, marking the start of summer fishing and angling.
