FIREMIKS at Intersec 2026: Launch of the Extended FM-Approved Line

We warmly invite you to visit us at the upcoming INTERSEC exhibition, which will take place from 12th to 14th January at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Our team would be delighted to welcome you in person. You can find us at the Solas Safety & Fire stand, B38 in Hall 4, as well as at the Swedish pavilion, stand C30 in Hall 8.

At the exhibition, we will present our latest FM-approved line, certified in accordance with Approval Standard FM 5130 (May 2021). This major development sees the addition of ten new 3% models, available in four sizes: 450, 800, 6000, and 8000 litres per minute (lpm). As a result, our FM-approved range now covers flow sizes of 450, 800, 1800, 2400, 4000, 6000, and 8000 lpm.

This marks a significant milestone for FIREMIKS, enabling us to better respond to increasing market demand for FM-approved Variable Viscosity Pump Proportioners across both higher and lower flow ranges. Notably, FIREMIKS remains the only brand to offer FM-approved water motor-driven pump proportioners for flow rates below 1,000 lpm.

With this FM-approval, we, together with our global distributor network, are set to play a pivotal role in the ongoing transition from traditional AFFF to flour-free foams (SFFF), including Non-Newtonian concentrates with higher viscosity.

FIREMIKS installation at Lamor Oy Chemical and plastic recycling plant

The Lamor Oy chemical and plastic recycling plant in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, Finland, has installed a FIREMIKS 6000-3-PP-F-ALU-DRV water-driven volumetric pump proportioner for fire-fighting. Notably, this is the first plant of its kind in Finland.

The FIREMIKS system has been fitted within a container at the plant to ensure ideal fire safety. This model offers a maximum flow capacity of 6,000 litres per minute and delivers a precise 3% dosing of fluorine-free foam concentrate.

The unit is further optimized with a Dosing Return Valve (DRV) and a complete Dosing Rate Test System, including two independent flow meters, which allow for straightforward and regular testing of the system without consuming any foam concentrate and eliminates the need to clean up dispersed foam after testing. As a result, the system offers both cost-effectiveness and substantial environmental benefits, ensuring a low total cost of ownership over the long term.

This important project has been made possible thanks to the efforts of Kulmala, FIREMIKS’s longstanding and reliable sole distributor for Finland.

This short video captures a FIREMIKS 1000-0.5-1-3-PP-M water-driven volumetric pump proportioner, in operation with a Poseidon water cannon.

Designed to handle flows of up to 1000 liters per minute, the system allows for adjustable dosing rates of 0.5%, 1%, and 3% supporting consistent foam proportioning for fire protection.

The demonstration was carried out by WLP Systems in collaboration with our distributor, Pro Fire in Italy.

Here are some recent shots of a FIREMIKS 8000-3-PP-F-ALU-DRV, water driven volumetric pump proportioner, at an oil extraction site in Serbia.

With a maximum flow of 8000 liters per minute and a 3% dosing rate, the system uses high expansion foam and was carried out by our distributor, VIR Sistems.
