From 24 to 29 May 2026, a group of our Primary 5 students embarked on an enriching Overseas Learning Journey to Suzhou, China. During the six-day programme, they visited Qingjian Lake Primary School, explored museums and historical landmarks, and immersed themselves in the rich culture, heritage, and innovation of the city.
As active learners, our students embraced every opportunity to discover, inquire, and grow through authentic experiences beyond the classroom. The journey was not without challenges, as a few students fell ill along the way. Despite this, they demonstrated remarkable resilience, adaptability, and positivity. More importantly, they showed genuine care and concern for one another, strengthening friendships and developing positive relationships.
Through cultural exchanges and moments of reflection, students gained a deeper appreciation of diverse perspectives and traditions. They returned with lasting memories, broader worldviews, and a stronger sense of responsibility as ambassadors of our school, exemplifying our mission of being active learners, embracing artful living, developing positive relationships, and making meaningful contributions.

From 11 May to 13 May, The Primary 5 students participated in a three-day, two-night camp themed “Scaling New Heights Together.” The camp provided pupils with meaningful opportunities to learn beyond the classroom through activities designed to build team spirit and problem-solving skills, encourage personal challenge and self-discipline, and foster creativity and initiative.

Through a range of outdoor challenges and teamwork activities, pupils learnt to communicate effectively, support one another, and persevere through difficulties. Many overcame personal fears, gained confidence, and discovered new strengths while forging stronger friendships with their peers. The camp also reinforced important values such as responsibility, respect, and resilience.

The success of the camp reflects the school’s continued commitment to holistic education and character development.

We are proud to share that our Track and Field Team has been representing the school at the National School Games (NSG) Track & Field Meet. Over the past weeks, our athletes have shown great determination, discipline, and resilience as they competed against schools across Singapore.

Let us take a moment to recognise two of our pupils for their outstanding achievements:
• Anand Harshil from 6F, who achieved 6th position in the Senior 1 Boys Vertical High Jump
• Isabelle Quan Jiayu from 6U, who achieved 3rd position in the Senior 1 Girls 80m Run
• Ilhan Rizqy Bin Herman 4I, who achieved Bronze Pin in the Multi-Skill Event (East Zone)

Well done to Anand, Isabelle and Rizqy for their excellent performance!

We would also like to commend all our Track and Field team members for their hard work, sportsmanship, and commitment.

From tentative first steps to confident performances on the competition floor, our gymnasts have shown what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance, and courage. Every training session was filled with learning, determination, and growth as they challenged themselves to master new skills and push beyond their limits. With the unwavering support and encouragement of their teachers and coaches, they developed not only their gymnastics abilities, but also resilience, confidence, and team spirit.

This year, our gymnasts proudly represented the school at the National School Games Gymnastics Competition. Training tirelessly every Tuesday and committing additional hours during the March holidays, they demonstrated remarkable dedication and commitment in preparation for the competition.

We are delighted to share that both Jeanne and Zhan Shuo were awarded the Junior Achievement Pin despite the strong competition and large pool of participants. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, discipline, and perseverance.

Congratulations to Jeanne and Zhan Shuo on this wonderful accomplishment, and well done to all our gymnasts for representing the school with pride and determination!

They believed. Now, they SEE! 🌟📐

Our P6 Math Olympians just leveled up at the Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS)! 🚀

It wasn’t just about the final exam. It was about the intensive practice, the late-afternoon brainstorming, and the determination to solve the "unsolvable." That is the heart of .

To our P6 stars: You saw the challenge, believed in your preparation, and now the whole school sees your incredible success.

"I am Darius Tong Zhi Lin from 6 Unity. I am proud to be the Vice-Captain of the Edgefield Primary School Senior Basketball Team. Representing my school in the National School Games this season has been a truly special and unforgettable journey for all of us.
This year, our team achieved a major milestone by finishing 4th in League 4. This accomplishment did not happen by chance. It was the result of hard work, perseverance, teamwork, and the constant support from our teachers, parents, teammates, and school.
What made this journey meaningful was not just the result, but everything we went through together along the way. Every training session, every game, every challenge, setback, and comeback helped us grow stronger as a team and as individuals. Through basketball, we built trust, friendships, and memories that I will always treasure.
One thing I especially appreciated was the way our teachers planned our training sessions. Instead of only repeating drills, they created different game situations and challenges that encouraged us to think, adapt, and solve problems during play. This made training enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful while helping us improve both individually and as a team.
As a Vice- Captain, I am truly proud of how far we have come together. Thank you, Edgefield Primary School, for giving us this opportunity, for believing in us, and for making this journey such a memorable one."

From P3 to P6, our netball journey at Edgefield has been one of growth, resilience, and unity. Many of us started shy and unsure, but through learning the basics and finding our roles, we grew in confidence both on and off the court. Netball taught us discipline, teamwork, and the courage to step up, while reminding us that mistakes are part of learning and growth.

Through every training and game, we improved in speed, agility, and game sense, but more importantly, we grew closer as a team. We encouraged, supported, and motivated one another, celebrating wins and learning from losses together, always believing in “one team, one goal.”

We are grateful for our teammates, coaches, and teachers—this journey has given us not just skills, but unforgettable memories. Proud of how far we’ve come, and excited for what lies ahead.
