🇮🇹🎓 From Singapore to Italy: a new academic journey begins!

Ambassador Dante Brandi met Damien Lim Jia Hao, who has been awarded an Italian Government scholarship for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Damien will soon head to Italy to pursue a two-year Master’s degree in Geosciences for the Earth, Environment and Planets, specialising in Earth Dynamics, at the Università di Padova.

The University of Padua ranks 1st in Italy and among the top 100 universities worldwide in Geology, Geophysics and Earth & Marine Sciences, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject.

The scholarship is part of the MAECI Farnesina 🇮🇹 programme offering study, training and research opportunities in Italy to foreign students and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE).

Italy Ambassador Dante Brandi: Celebrating Singapore’s National Day and a Dynamic Partnership Shaping the Future

As Singapore celebrates its 61 National Day, H.E. Dante Brandi, Ambassador of Italy to Singapore, extends his warmest congratulations to the Government and people of Singapore while reaffirming Italy’s commitment to strengthening a partnership that has flourished for more than six decades.

In his special message for IN Diplomacy, Ambassador Brandi highlights the strong bilateral relationship built on mutual trust, openness, and international cooperation. Following the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations, both countries have intensified collaboration through high-level engagements and strategic initiatives spanning connectivity, defence, scientific research, artificial intelligence, robotics, trade, education, and cultural exchange.

As Italy and Singapore continue to deepen cooperation across innovation and emerging technologies, the partnership reflects a shared vision for sustainable growth, regional stability, and long-term prosperity. Happy National Day, Singapore!

🇮🇹 Oggi, 8 agosto, ricorre la "Giornata nazionale del sacrificio del lavoro italiano nel mondo", che commemora il tragico incidente avvenuto nel 1956 nella miniera di Bois du Cazier a Marcinelle, in Belgio, dove persero la vita 262 minatori, tra cui 136 italiani.

In occasione di questo 70° anniversario, il Vice Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri e Ministro degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, On. Antonio Tajani, ha indirizzato un messaggio ai connazionali all'estero.

🎓 Dedicated Visa Appointments for Students

In view of the high demand recorded in recent months, the Embassy of Italy in Singapore has, on an exceptional basis, been offering additional visa appointments since July 2026 exclusively for students travelling to Italy for:

• exchange programmes;
• university enrolment;
• master's programmes and other study courses.

📌 To request an earlier appointment:

1️⃣ register on the Prenot@Mi portal (https://prenotami.esteri.it/) and book the first available appointment;

2️⃣ send an email to [email protected], indicating the details of your booked appointment.

The Embassy will, where possible, bring your appointment forward.
