What happens after something is no longer useful to us?

From discarded plastic bottles becoming new materials to surplus food finding its way to those who need it, our partners are finding ways to give everyday items a second life.

These initiatives remind us that what we see as waste can still hold value. By choosing to reuse and recycle, we can help reduce waste and make the most of the resources around us.

💚 Together, these efforts can help build a greener Singapore for all.

Spotted during a recent home inspection 👀

Containers used to store water can become mosquito breeding spots. In a recent dengue cluster, nearly 1 in 3 mosquito breeding habitats detected in landed homes were found in domestic containers such as pails and plastic drums.

If you need to store water at home, here's how to keep them from becoming a dengue risk:
🔒 Cover containers tightly when not in use
🧹 Dry them out thoroughly after use
🚫 Avoid using open containers to store water, where possible

🦟 As of 14 August 2026, there are 14 active dengue clusters. Stay vigilant and do your B-L-O-C-K checks regularly to remove potential mosquito breeding habitats around your home.
