The Digital and Intelligence Service Welcome to the official page of the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS)!

We are the Digital and Intelligence Service, the fourth service of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) officially inaugurated on 28 Oct 2022. The Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) will defend and dominate in the Digital Domain. As part of an integrated SAF, the DIS will enhance Singapore's security, from peace to war.

The Sentinel Programme equips youths with digital and cybersecurity skills, opening doors to opportunities in the digital domain.

For 3SG Nicholas Tan, what began as a curiosity about technology through Sentinel has grown into a career as a Digital Specialist in the DIS.

Through the programme, he discovered the Digital Work-Learn Scheme, which allows him to pursue his degree at SMU while serving his National Service with the DIS.

Last week, Joint Force Commander, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, COL Pengiran Noor Rumaizi bin Pengiran Othman met with our Chief MG Lee Yi-Jin and COS-DS RADM Yong Wei Hsiung at the Ministry of Defence.

Through a series of engagements, both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen regional cyber cooperation. The exchanges reflected the warm and growing defence relations between Singapore and Brunei, while reinforcing the importance of deepening collaboration in tackling common cybersecurity challenges. 🇸🇬🤝🇧🇳

The Defence Scholarship Awards Ceremony, held at Temasek Club yesterday, recognised outstanding individuals who have chosen to serve and contribute to Singapore’s defence and security.

Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing presented the awards to this year’s scholarship recipients, including those who will begin their journey with the DIS.

“I am proud to have provided value in some way, although I was not combat fit.” CFC(NS) Anish.

Every opportunity is a chance to make a difference.

Meet CFC (NS) Anish, one of this year’s NSF of the Year award recipients.

As a C4 Operator, Anish constantly looked for ways to improve the team’s work of monitoring and configuration of the SAF Satellite Network system, from teaching himself Linux scripting to automate manual processes to mentoring fellow NSFs as they picked up new technical skills.

His story is a reminder that National Service is about more than serving your time. It is about taking initiative, creating value and making a positive impact.
