Every participant in All Paws In works toward a different goal. For one participant, one of the goals centred on coming back to the group after stepping away when a session felt overwhelming.

That kind of progress is easy to miss without measuring it properly. Our accredited handler-dog teams and the partner centre’s psychologist track it together, session by session, so goals stay grounded in what each child actually needs.

All Paws In is a structured animal-assisted therapy programme built for people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Objectives are set jointly with the centre’s own team, sessions are planned around them, and progress gets reported back throughout.

Every session starts long before our Dogtor team enters the room. Together with the multidisciplinary team, we identify a therapeutic objective for each child, then design an activity around it: reducing anxiety, building emotional awareness, or developing healthier ways to ask for comfort and support.

That’s what makes it Animal-Assisted Therapy rather than a general animal visit. Each interaction is chosen to support a specific goal agreed with the clinical team, and every session is reviewed afterwards to shape the next one. This goal-directed structure is what distinguishes AAT from Animal-Assisted Activities.

We’re grateful to work alongside the clinicians at paediatric hospitals who make this possible, and to be part of each child’s therapeutic journey ❤️❤️❤️

Two doctors at KKH told us it was “the best day of their entire work life.”
We brought Dogtors on Call to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and opened the session to everyone — surgeons, nurses, housemen, medical students, allied health professionals, HR, admin, security, patients, and even doctors’ children who happened to be there that day.

That’s what a hospital-wide animal-assisted interaction session looks like in practice. Every handler-dog team we deploy is screened, trained, and our programme is designed to work within the realities of a healthcare environment.

Becoming a member of The Dogtors with your dog looks like this: hospitals, senior care centres, schools, corporate offices, all in a week’s work for an accredited handler-dog team.
Sunita and her Border Collie Kyo have been doing exactly that since 2025. In some settings they’re a visiting team bringing wellbeing to residents. In others, where a healthcare professional is directing the session toward specific care goals, Kyo can function as a therapy animal. The role depends on the context, and The Dogtors trains you for both.
The accreditation process also taught Sunita things about reading Kyo’s signals she uses every single day, long after sessions end.

We brought a Dogtors on Call visit to the Internal Medicine team at SGH. Midway through the session, one of the doctors said it unprompted: “My cortisol is at an all-time low.” 🥰🤗

Over two days with Wicare, our Dogtor teams worked with 35 children on emotional awareness and regulation.

Emotional awareness is a skill. It takes practice, and it takes the right conditions to practise in. That’s what our structured canine-assisted programme creates, and it looks different depending on the population, the setting, and what the programme is designed to achieve.
