Introductory Call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, 19 August 2026

High Commissioner Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin paid an introductory call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan. HC received a warm welcome from the Foreign Minister.

Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations between Malaysia and Singapore, underlining the importance of maintaining the good momentum on cooperation in various sectors, and continue exploring ways to improve the lives of ordinary citizens in both countries who have families, jobs, and businesses across borders.

HC looks forward to her stint in Singapore, and continuing the excellent working relations between the High Commission of Malaysia and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore.

Her Excellency Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore attended The Saturday Movement’s Annual Charity Gala Dinner 2026 at the Pan Pacific Singapore.

It was a wonderful night filled with vibrant Peranakan heritage, incredible regional cuisine curated by talented chefs, and heartwarming camaraderie—all in support of a vital cause.

A special mention to the wonderful cooking by Baba Cedric and Chef Annie Tan of Malaysia whose culinary talents brought the rich flavours and heritage of our region to life. Their passion and creativity made the evening even more exciting and memorable.

Huge congratulations to founder Baba Raymond Khoo and the incredible team at The Saturday Movement for their unwavering dedication to feeding and caring for our vulnerable elderly community. Receiving this Certificate of Appreciation is a truly humbling reminder of the power of collective kindness

LAUNCHING OF “KITA SETANDAN: A MAMAT KHALID RETROSPECTIVE” FILM FESTIVAL, 14 AUGUST 2026

High Commissioner Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin attended the “Kita Setandan: A Mamat Khalid Retrospective” film festival launching event as the guest of honour. The film festival was a collaboration between The Rice Company Limited (TRCL) Singapore, Global Culture Alliance Singapore, Enjit-Enjit Semut Sdn. Bhd. Malaysia, and supported by FINAS Malaysia and Astro Shaw.

During the event, attendees witnessed the officiation of a strategic joint venture between Millet Holdings Singapore and Enjit-Enjit Semut Sdn. Bhd. to develop a new Sarang Art Hub in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. The new creative hub would dedicate to advancing regional arts and creative exchange.

The High Commission of Malaysia encourages creative partnerships involving Malaysian and Singaporean artists and creative organisations as a means to connect people, communities, and creative industries between the two countries and throughout the region.

STRENGTHENING ECONOMIC CONNECTIONS: INAUGURAL SINGAPORE-SABAH BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE 2026

The High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore attended the Singapore-Sabah Business Roundtable 2026, held at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore on Friday, 14 August 2026.

The landmark event was officially graced by Datuk Ewon Benedick, Sabah Deputy Chief Minister III and Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport (MINDET), alongside Her Excellency Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore.

Organized by the Sabah Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STTOS). Representatives from 50 prominent companies and industry stakeholders from Singapore participated in the Roundtable. The focus was on lucrative opportunities across key emerging sectors—including the Blue Economy, sustainable agribusiness, renewable energy, digital innovation, and the oil and gas services and equipment (OGSE) market in Sabah.

On 13 August 2026, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin had the pleasure of visiting Gardens by the Bay at the kind invitation of the CEO, Mr. Felix Loh. The introductory visit was an opportunity to experience Singapore’s iconic landmark that houses a diverse collection of over 1.5 million plants from all over the world.

During the visit, the CEO shared insights with Her Excellency on the vision of the Gardens of blending nature, innovation and sustainability into a world-class tourist attraction, as well as the events and programmes held throughout the year.

Both sides expressed hope to continue exploring opportunities for closer collaboration between the High Commission and Gardens by the Bay in the future.

On 12 August 2026, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, paid an introductory call on the Director-General (International Organisations) of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Ms. Ng Boon Yian.

Both sides exchanged views on multilateral diplomacy relating to various institutions, notably the United Nations. As countries with mutual interests at the global level, both countries underlined the importance to continue with the efforts to ensure international peace through multilateralism and the international law.

The discussion also underscored the importance of continued engagement between Malaysia and Singapore in strengthening cooperation at the multilateral level.
