Thank you to everyone who was part of TUC Showcase 2026 🌟

This showcase marks the culmination of The Talent Uplift Collective (TUC), which stems from the broader Talent Uplift Programme (TUP). Through this journey, participants worked in teams to develop and deliver social impact projects, strengthening collaboration and deepening community impact.

A special thank you to Marina Bay Sands for their generous support in providing the venue for our inaugural showcase. We also appreciate the insights shared by Mr Nicholas Ionides, Senior Vice President of Communications & Corporate Affairs at Marina Bay Sands, as part of the TUC feedback panel. We are excited to further our partnership with Marina Bay Sands through their industry-first education awards for our TUC recipients to build a more resilient, inclusive and future-ready workforce for Singapore.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to SG Enable, Richard Hua Education Trust Fund and Binjai Tree Foundation, for their generous contributions and belief in our vision.

We are deeply grateful to our mentors, university partners, and corporate supporters for generously sharing their time, expertise, and encouragement with our participants.

To all our partners, thank you for your continued support in developing change leaders who will help shape the future workforce.

Congratulations to all participants for their dedication, teamwork, and growth throughout this journey. It was inspiring to see them confidently present their ideas and engage with industry mentors.

We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved and look forward to seeing them continue to grow, thrive, and make an impact in the next chapter of their journey πŸ’œ

πŸ«‚ Real change starts with curiosity, empathy, and being aware of our own assumptions. πŸ’œ

In this closing reflection from EP3: Making the Invisible Visible – Why Advocacy Matters, with Alpha Ho and Meredith Chan, a closing statement from Delina Swee, Director of Programme at TomoWork, reminds us that inclusion begins when we choose to listen, learn, and see beyond labels.

At the end of the day, the label that matters most is simple: β€œI am Human.”

This episode is a reminder that meaningful change happens through empathy, understanding, and the willingness to create spaces where everyone feels valued and included. 🌱

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at Tomo Day 2026 ✨

We are especially grateful to our corporate partners and donors for your continued support and belief in our mission. Thank you for journeying alongside us to build a more inclusive future.

Held at Temasek Polytechnic, the event marked the culmination of our 12-week Talent Accelerator Programme (TAP), where participants showcased the solutions, ideas, and growth they have developed throughout their journey.

We were deeply honored to welcome our Guest of Honour, Dr Syed Harun Alhabsyi, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Education and National Development, and our Special Guest, Mr Hiroshi Ishikawa, Ambassador of Japan to Singapore.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Ms Anita Kuan, Deputy Principal of Temasek Polytechnic, for delivering the welcome address, as well as for Temasek Polytechnic's support, partnership, and generous hosting of this year’s event.

A special thank you as well to our corporate partners, Sumitomo Life Insurance Company, Micron Technology Singapore, MSD, Singlife, Haworth, Swire Shipping, for taking the time to engage with our participants and provide valuable industry insights and encouragement that enriched their learning journey.

We are also grateful to SG Enable for their continued support.

Tomo Day 2026 was more than a showcase. It was a celebration of growth, resilience, collaboration, and community. Together, we are building a future where diverse talent is not an afterthought, but where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

None of this would have been possible without the support and belief of our partners, guests, and supporters πŸ’œ

πŸŽ™οΈWhat does advocacy really mean?

In this clip from EP3: Making the Invisible Visible – Why Advocacy Matters, Alpha Ho and Meredith Chan share why advocacy begins with challenging assumptions and recognising that everyone experiences the world differently.

πŸ’¬ β€œDon’t assume everyone is the same.”

Advocacy is not just about speaking up, it is about creating space for understanding, empathy, and conversations that encourage meaningful change.

By questioning our own beliefs and listening to lived experiences, we can build more inclusive communities where people feel seen, respected, and supported. πŸ’œ

πŸ’‘What are some everyday barriers that can affect inclusion?

In this clip from EP3: Making the Invisible Visible – Why Advocacy Matters, Alpha Ho and Meredith Chan reflect on the challenges they have encountered, from navigating university applications to the casual use of language and labels in everyday conversations.

Sometimes, barriers to inclusion are not always obvious; they can exist in systems, assumptions, and even the words we use without thinking.

Their stories remind us that creating inclusive spaces starts with listening, learning, and being more mindful of how our actions impact others. 🌱

🌱 Taking time to pause, reflect, and care for one’s well-being is an important part of growth.

TAP participants attended three meaningful personal growth and wellness workshops that offered valuable insights into mental and physical well-being.

🧘 The first was a mindfulness workshop with Ibasho Mindfulness, by Joy Chua, where participants explored breathing techniques, meditation practices, and practical mindfulness tools for daily life.

πŸ’¬ The second was an engaging stress management workshop led by Anthony Yeo, school counsellor from Temasek Polytechnic, featuring interactive discussions and role-playing activities that encouraged self-awareness and healthy coping strategies.

😴 The third session was conducted by Joshua Wong, a sleep and health coach, where participants learned about sleep wisdom and exchanged different bedtime routines and habits that support better rest and recovery.

These sessions encouraged participants to prioritise self-care, build resilience, and adopt healthier habits in their daily lives. πŸ’š

A big thank you to all our facilitators for generously sharing their knowledge, experiences, and practical tips with our participants!
