Lunch together before everyone starts wrapping up their internships. 🌸🍽️

As our Sakura Team wraps up their internships over July and August, we took the opportunity to celebrate one of our interns' final weeks with a team lunch, complete with good food and fun conversations.

Over the past few months, they've supported our programmes, events, and day-to-day work while bringing fresh ideas and positive energy to the team. It's been a joy watching each of them grow, and we're so grateful to have had them as part of TomoWork.

While we'll miss our Sakura Team, we're also looking forward to welcoming our next internship cohort, the Maple Team! 🍁

Interested in joining us? We're looking for interns who want to learn, contribute, and support a more inclusive community.

🌟 Thank you for joining us at the ABLE Roundtable: Beyond Ramps – Designing Inclusive Workplace Environments That Work for All.

As part of the Singapore Business Network on DisAbility (SBNoD) Q2 2026 Meeting, we were delighted to co-organise this edition of the ABLE Roundtable alongside SBNoD, with Deutsche Bank generously hosting the event.

Today, we had the privilege of bringing together HR professionals, corporate leaders, policymakers, and community partners to explore how workplaces can move beyond accessibility to create environments where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to thrive.

The session sparked meaningful conversations and the exchange of diverse perspectives. Some of the key topics explored included:

πŸ”Ή Accessibility vs Inclusivity – Why creating an accessible workplace doesn't always mean everyone feels included or experiences a true sense of belonging.

πŸ”Ή From retrofitting to inclusive design – How organisations can design workplaces with diverse needs in mind from the outset, rather than adjusting later.

πŸ”Ή Assistive technology – Exploring the tools that support greater independence, communication, and productivity at work, while highlighting opportunities to close existing gaps.

A heartfelt thank you to our panellists, Stephan Hartl, Alessandro Cesana, and Mariam Mohd, facilitators, volunteers, and participants for sharing your perspectives and contributing to meaningful discussions. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Deutsche Bank for hosting the event and SBNoD for partnering with us to make this platform possible.

Together, we can continue turning conversations into action and build workplaces that are inclusive by design. πŸ’œ

πŸ’¬ We'll leave you with one final question: What is one meaningful action each of us can take to create workplaces that work for all? Share your thoughts in the comments, we would love to hear your perspective!

We're proud to see our alumni, Nur Sabrina, featured for her inspiring journey as Singapore's only female wheelchair rugby player at the ASEAN Para Games. πŸ‘

In the article, Sabrina shares how sport helped her embrace her differences, build confidence, and challenge perceptions of disability.

πŸ’¬ One quote that stood out to us:
"You'll never know what you're capable of until you try."

As one of our Talent Accelerator Programme (TAP) alumni, we're grateful to have been part of Sabrina's journey.

"Through TAP, I gained the confidence to keep growing and exploring new opportunities."

We were glad to be part of the SBF Foundation Community Marketplace 2026! 🀝

It was a privilege to witness the launch of the Inclusive Playbook, a meaningful step towards building more inclusive workplaces.

Thank you to the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) Foundation for bringing together organisations committed to building a more inclusive society, and to everyone who stopped by our booth.

If we didn't get a chance to meet at the event, we'd still love to connect and explore how we can create impact together. πŸ’¬

πŸ’‘ Awareness is an important starting point, but real impact happens when organisations take action.

As we celebrate the sixth run of our Talent Accelerator Programme (TAP), we're reflecting on what it takes to turn intention into inclusive hiring.

Through TAP, students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) work on real business challenges alongside corporate partners, demonstrating their skills, professionalism and workplace readiness. In turn, employers gain firsthand experience of the capabilities and perspectives that persons with disabilities bring to the workplace.

πŸ‘‰ Swipe through to see how awareness is turning into action.

🀝 Every inclusive hiring journey starts with a conversation. If you're exploring your organisation's inclusive hiring journey, let's connect!

What happens when passionate young people come together to create positive change? πŸ’‘

Through the Talent Uplift Collective (TUC), participants worked alongside teammates and mentors to develop social impact projects while building valuable skills along the way.

From strengthening communication and leadership skills to developing empathy, managing time more effectively, and learning how to explain ideas with confidence, the journey was filled with learning, collaboration, and personal growth.

More importantly, participants gained new perspectives on inclusion and discovered how small actions, meaningful conversations, and teamwork can contribute to building a more supportive and inclusive community for all.

Hear directly from our participants and mentor as they share their experiences, memorable moments, and key takeaways from the programme. πŸŽ₯

πŸ‘€ A glimpse into the TomoWork Talent Explorer Programme (TEP) for University

Earlier this year, participants had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, visit workplaces, and explore a wide range of career possibilities.

As we look back on their journey through this video, we're reminded of the experiences they gained, the connections they built, and the confidence they developed along the way.

Through employer engagements, corporate visits, and networking opportunities, participants gained valuable insights into the working world while taking meaningful steps towards their future careers.

Interested in helping youths discover diverse career opportunities and build networks for future success? 🌱

We would love to connect with organisations that share our commitment to creating more inclusive pathways into the workforce and empowering the next generation of talent. 🀝
