Welcome to BCA Academy’s official page! We develop capabilities in the Built Environment workforce through education and training.

Part of Building and Construction Authority (Singapore). BCA Academy, an integral part of Building and Construction Authority (Singapore), is a trusted specialist institution for the Built Environment (BE) sector. Since 1984, we have been developing capabilities in the BE workforce, empowering aspiring and current professionals with the skills and knowledge to build a safe, sustainable, and liveable built environment.

🏗️ From learning BIM in the classroom to contributing to real projects

During their industry attachment with ID Architects, BCA Academy’s Integrated Work-Study Diploma (IWSD) students had the opportunity to apply their digital skills in a professional setting, contributing to project modelling and coordination while learning industry workflows.

As we celebrate BCA Academy's Graduation Ceremony 2026, we also celebrate the practical skills and industry experience our students have gained, preparing them to contribute to Singapore's Built Environment.

🌱 Rooted in our campus. Growing towards a greener future.

For the third year running, BCAA Green Club students, BCA staff and Built Environment Innovation Hub (BEIH) partners came together for Green Legacy @ Graduation 2026, planting trees to help offset the carbon footprint of BCA Academy’s Graduation Ceremony.

Across three Graduation Ceremonies, the community has planted 166 saplings, with an estimated total carbon offset of 7,701 kg of CO₂ 💚

At BCA Academy, students have opportunities to turn shared values into action, build connections and contribute to a more sustainable Built Environment.

We were delighted to meet students from Foon Yew High School across its Johor Bahru, Kulai and Seri Alam campuses, as well as Chong Hwa High School in Kluang, during our recent education fairs in Malaysia. 🇲🇾

It was encouraging to speak with students as they explored their interests, considered their post-secondary pathways, and learnt more about studying in Singapore. Many were curious about the Built Environment (BE) sector and the diverse career opportunities it offers.

At BCA Academy, our diploma programmes combine industry-relevant knowledge with practical learning and close industry partnerships, equipping students with the skills and experience to thrive in the BE sector.

We look forward to welcoming more students from Malaysia to our diverse learning community and supporting them as they take the next step towards a rewarding future.

🌿 Learning Beyond the Classroom 🌿

Sunshine, teamwork, nature challenges, and plenty of discoveries. Our Green Club students traded their desks for the forest trail and embarked on an unforgettable learning adventure at Lower Peirce Reservoir. ☀️🥾🌿📸

Working in teams, they took on a nature discovery challenge, exploring the outdoors while having plenty of fun along the way.

As future stewards of our environment, they explored how Singapore's built environment and natural ecosystems coexist, helping them envision a greener and more sustainable future. 🌱💚

From intern to BIM professional - where you start doesn’t define where you finish.

Last week, BCA Academy welcomed over 90 Higher Nitec students from ITE College East for a learning journey that we hope stays with them long after the visit.

Our guest speaker, Er. Jeffrey Ng, Director of DP Engineers, didn’t just talk about the Built Environment sector. He shared the journey of a team member who started exactly where many of these students are today (ITE). Through determination and continuous upskilling, she now works as a BIM Assistant at DP Engineers.

For students still mapping out their futures, hearing that story from a senior industry leader carries real weight. Er. Ng also spoke about mentoring BCA Academy interns at DP Engineers. It was a reminder that industry exposure isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s what bridges classroom learning to career readiness.

To the ITE students who joined us: the Built Environment needs people like you, who are curious, hands-on, and willing to grow. Our Integrated Work-Study Diploma (IWSD) programmes (https://go.gov.sg/bcaa-dip) are designed to walk that journey with you.

🌟 We are happy to be part of the Ziesta Education & Career Guidance Symposium organised by Zhenghua Secondary School on 25 March 🌟

The session sparked many students discovering new possibilities they hadn't considered before:

🗣️ “I used to have no interest in the engineering sector, but after the BCA talk, I learned how engineers use VR to design sustainable buildings. It’s amazing to see how BCA contributes to our environment and quality of life. I’m more interested in the behind-the-scenes work of engineers now!”

🗣️ “The BCA speaker showed me how important math is in pursuing engineering. I realised my current math skills are enough to consider engineering, and it gave me more confidence in this career path!”

🗣️ “I’ve always enjoyed math and problem-solving, and the BCA talk helped me understand what engineering really involves. It was great to see the different pathways I could take in the engineering world.”

We look forward to more opportunities to support students in their education and career journeys! 💡

Recently, we had a great time hosting a group of students from Chinese High School Batu Pahat, Malaysia.

As they explore studying opportunities in Singapore, we were excited to introduce them to the world of the built environment and how it shapes the spaces we live, learn, and play 🏙️✨

At BCA Academy, we stay closely aligned with industry developments and evolving policies, continually refreshing our curriculum to equip students with relevant, future-ready skills. It was great sharing how we prepare the next generation to thrive in a rapidly transforming sector 📚🚀

At the BCA Academy Staff Retreat 2026 last week, we came together to reflect, reconnect and reimagine how we can create greater impact together.

Guided by the theme “Empowered to Innovate with Purpose – Creating Impact that Matters,” the retreat gave us the opportunity to step back from our daily work, hear fresh perspectives on AI, education and leadership, and reflect on what drives us as individuals and teams.

From thoughtful discussions and team activities to creative idea-sharing, the day reminded us that purpose gives direction, innovation creates momentum, and meaningful impact happens when people come together with a shared commitment to make a difference.

A big thank you to Kingsmen Creatives Ltd for hosting us, our speakers Daryl Chew, Wong Kin Hoong, Simon Ong, Valerie Leong, as well as our colleagues for making the retreat a meaningful and energising one.
