Today, Navalites came together to celebrate Singapore’s 61st birthday with enthusiasm, pride and gratitude! 🇸🇬

We were honoured that members of the Republic of Singapore Navy's 8th Flotilla (), led by our Guest-of-Honour, Colonel Aaron Li, graced this year's SG61 observance ceremony.

Together with our Parent Support Group who spread festive cheer across the school, and a symbolic tree-planting activity, we celebrated our shared commitment to building a stronger Singapore together.

Here at Naval Base Secondary School, we don't just talk the talk, we also walk the walk! This week our staff embarked on a journey of service, doing their part to help the community through a range of volunteer work.

It was a meaningful and enriching experience for everyone involved, and a timely reminder that everyone has a role to play in building an inclusive and supportive Singapore for all!

Our Navalites were treated to an inspiring performance by the SAF Central Band, where music brought Singapore's history, heritage and shared identity to life.

The concert featured 10 pieces, including our National Anthem, our school song, 'The Road Ahead', 'Where I Belong' and 'Tentera Singapura'. We were especially proud to see our very own student conductor, Jovan, lead 'There's a Part for Everyone', while representatives from our Uniformed Groups marched in sync to 'The March' of the SAF.

A heartfelt thank you to the SAF Central Band for an unforgettable experience!

Our students' creativity is taking centre stage!

We are proud to share that our Navalite, Zhi Ying, was featured in Lianhe Zaobao's article on the Singapore Youth Festival (S*F) Art Exhibition. Representing her group, Zhi Ying shared about 'What's for Breakfast?', a work exploring Singapore's breakfast culture and meaningful family moments through its journaling component.

Several other artworks by our Navalites were also selected for this year's exhibition - a wonderful affirmation of their artistic growth and reflective thinking. Inspired by their work, why not gather around the breakfast table and enjoy a meal with your family?

Anything is possible when you have the courage to dream! ✨🇸🇬

We were thrilled to welcome singer songwriter Iman Fandi to NBSS! She shared her inspiring journey of growing up in multicultural Singapore and taking the leap to chase her passions, proving that "impossible" is really just "I’M possible." 🌟

As the voice behind this year's NDP song, Giants, Iman reminded our Navalites that our unique backgrounds are our strength. What an empowering start to our National Day celebrations! ❤️

Our school community came together to celebrate Racial Harmony Day! It was a meaningful reminder of how precious our peace, mutual respect, and cultural diversity truly are, and why bonds we must never take for granted.

During Navalites Unplugged, our students took the lead by planning a series of interactive booth activities to teach their peers more about various cultures, traditions, and customs. It was inspiring to see them actively nurture harmony and respect through shared learning! 🤝✨

Thank you to our staff and students for making today’s celebration so vibrant. Let’s continue to treasure, protect, and celebrate our diversity together!

During the June holidays, 10 staff and students, including our Principal and Vice-Principal, had the privilege of sailing with the Republic of Singapore Navy's 8th Flotilla.

From experiencing life on board to gaining firsthand insights into naval operations, teamwork and the rigour of training, it was a day of learning unlike any other.

We are deeply grateful to the 8th Flotilla for their warm hospitality and unwavering partnership, which continues to inspire our students to pursue excellence, resilience, and service to the nation!

Happy Youth Day to our Navalites! 🎉💙

Although the Youth Day holiday fell on Monday, we kept the celebrations going today with our very first Anything But A Backpack Day! From laundry baskets and shopping trolleys to buckets, baskets and everything in between, our students brought their creativity, individuality and personality to school in the most unexpected ways. The highlight of the day saw our most imaginative participants taking to the stage in the hall for a parade, where the most creative entries were awarded prizes for thinking outside the bag!

To top off the celebrations, every Navalite was treated to a refreshing ice cream — because youth is one of life’s sweetest seasons, best enjoyed with friends, laughter and memories that will last long after the ice cream melts. 🍦

Here’s to celebrating the unique spirit of every Navalite and creating moments we’ll look back on with a smile. Happy Youth Day! ✨
