BIRD PARADISE
Immerse in a symphony of colours at Bird Paradise — Asia’s largest bird park. Spanning 17 hectares, Bird Paradise is home to more than 3,500 birds from over 400 avian species with 8 large thematic walk-through aviaries. Each aviary reflects unique features, vegetation and bird species from different biomes around the world. NIGHT SAFARI
Night Safari, the world’s first wildlife park for nocturnal animals was opened in 1994 by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. Over 1,000 animals from 115 species (of which almost 30% are threatened) inhabit the 40-hectare park. In line with its mission to promote biodiversity, the park focuses on the captive breeding of threatened species. Over the years, it has bred Malayan tigers, Asian elephants, fishing cats, red dholes, anoas, markhors, bantengs and Malayan tapirs, among other endangered species. Night Safari, an eight-time winner of the Best Visitor Attraction Experience (awarded by Singapore Tourism Board) attracts more than 1.1 million visitors yearly. RIVER WONDERS
River Wonders is the newest addition to Mandai Wildlife Group's portfolio of award-winning parks. Nestled between Singapore’s two award-winning wildlife parks – Singapore Zoo and Night Safari – River Wonders offers an unforgettable adventure inspired by the world’s most iconic rivers. This $160-million attraction features state-of-the-art exhibit design, Southeast Asia's largest panda exhibit as well as the world's largest freshwater aquarium. Housing one of the world’s largest collections of freshwater fauna, the park features over 5,000 animals including 42 endangered species. And that includes Singapore’s resident giant pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia. SINGAPORE ZOO
Singapore Zoo's world famous "Open Concept” offers visitors the opportunity to experience and be inspired by the wonders of nature. Home to over 2,500 specimens from 315 species, 29% of which are threatened, the Zoo has attained a strong reputation internationally for its conservation initiatives and breeding programmes. Must see attractions include the world’s first free-ranging orang utan area, Hamadryas baboon exhibit, Australian Outback, Elephants of Asia and the new Rainforest Kidzworld. In 2008, 1.6 million visitors enjoyed the experiential learning experience at the 28-hectare award-winning Zoo.
