Children's Aid Society - Singapore Supporting children & youths who have faced adverse life circumstances such as abuse or neglect

Established in 1902, CAS is amongst Singapore's oldest secular philanthropic organisations. Through our two services, Melrose Home and Melrose Care, we provide residential care and specialised therapy to support children and youths who have experienced challenging life circumstances such as abuse or neglect. Our services seek to mitigate the impact of these circumstances so that the children and y

ouths have better outcomes in terms of mental health, educational attainment and can engage in healthy relationships with peers.

A big thank you to Stolz Engineering Pte Ltd for bringing your community together in support of our children and youths through Stolz Family Day!

We’re grateful for your generosity and for inviting our Melrose Home residents and staff to be part of the movie event. More than just a day out, it was a meaningful opportunity to come together and give back to the young people we support.

Childhood is more than growing up. It’s the moments of joy, care and connection that help a child feel safe, seen and free to be themselves.

Every child deserves a childhood worth celebrating. On 1 September, we’re launching Give Childhood, our Children’s Day campaign to help create more moments of care, celebration and belonging for the children and youths we support.

Progress doesn’t mean there won’t be hard days. Sometimes, progress is simply how a child moves through them.

For every child in our care, that can look different. A little more trust. Trying again after a setback. Speaking up when something doesn’t feel right. Letting someone in.

At Children’s Aid Limited, we pay attention to these moments so we can listen, understand, and keep showing up for them.

Some of the moments we remember most from childhood are the simplest ones.

Hearing “I’m proud of you.” Feeling celebrated on your birthday. Having people around who make you feel like you belong.

These moments may seem ordinary, but they can tell a child something every child deserves to know: You matter.

On 1 September, we’re launching Give Childhood, our Children’s Day campaign to help create more moments of care, celebration and belonging for the children and youths we support.

Finding stability in the midst of chaos takes more than one person.

At KKH’s 2nd Developmental Paediatric Conference 2026 last month, Soh Ying Si, Head of Home, Melrose Home, and Lok Liang Xun, Centre Head, Melrose Care, shared about how consistency in the people and support around a child can make a difference.

For children who have experienced uncertainty, having trusted adults who work together towards the same purpose can create a greater sense of safety and stability.

At Children’s Aid Limited, Melrose Care and Melrose Home play different but connected roles. From a safe space to process difficult experiences, to the familiar routines and relationships of everyday life, both are part of the village surrounding a child.

When the people around a child move together, they create a steadier world for a child to heal, grow and thrive.

What does a strong community look like?

It begins with every child being given the opportunity to heal, grow and thrive.

Because when a child feels safe, they are better able to learn, build relationships and realise their potential. In time, those children become secure and confident young people, and eventually build their own stable families as caring adults who give back to the community around them.

This journey doesn't happen overnight. It takes patience, commitment and people who believe that every child is worth investing in.

At Children's Aid Limited (previously known as Children's Aid Society), this is the future we work towards every day.

🏡 Successful Lives. Stable Families. Strong Community.
Because when we invest in children today, we build a stronger community for tomorrow.

Some partnerships go beyond funding. They strengthen the care that children and youths receive every day.

We are deeply grateful to Raffles Medical Group for their two-year partnership with Children’s Aid Limited, formerly known as Children's Aid Society, supporting specialised psychological and therapeutic care, mental wellness and sleep hygiene workshops, as well as vaccinations and medical consultations for the children and youths under our care.

This partnership reflects a shared belief that healing requires more than treatment alone. It takes consistent support, trusted relationships and a community committed to helping every child thrive.

At Raffles Medical Group's 50th Anniversary Gala, our Executive Director, Alvin Goh, presented a token of appreciation to Dr Loo Choon Yong in recognition of RMG's generous commitment and partnership.

As we continue our journey towards Melrose Village, we are thankful to have partners like Raffles Medical Group walking alongside us to build a future where every child has the opportunity to heal, grow and thrive.

Thank you, Raffles Medical Group, for believing in our children and youths, and for helping make specialised care more accessible where it matters most.

What makes a childhood?

For many of us, it's the moments we carry with us long after we've grown up. It could be a birthday celebration, words of encouragement, or simply knowing there was always someone cheering us on.

At Children's Aid, we believe every child deserves these moments. That's why we continue to provide opportunities for children and youths in our care to learn, grow, and discover their strengths.

Because childhood is shaped not only by where we grow up, but by the people who choose to be part of the journey.

Behind every child's journey is someone who chose to care.

It takes a community to help children heal, grow, and thrive, and we are grateful for the many individuals and partners who walk alongside our young people every step of the way.

Thank you, Mr Clinton Ang and the CornerStone Wines team CornerStone Wines Asia, for being part of that community and for your continued support over the years.
