As Singapore advances its sustainability journey, one question matters more than ever: how do we turn ambition into action?

That was the focus of this edition of the Sustainability Experts Workshop, themed “Turning Sustainability Ambitions Into Investable Reality” and co-organised by MSE and MAS, where public officers from more than 45 agencies came together to explore how sustainability ambitions can become investable projects that deliver real impact.

We were privileged to host Mr Piyush Gupta, Chairman of Keppel Ltd. and former CEO of DBS Group, for a sharing session and fireside chat on sustainable finance and the role of private capital. The session was opened by Ms Abigail Ng, Chief Sustainability Officer of Monetary Authority of Singapore, and moderated by Ms Kavitha Menon, Director of the Singapore Sustainable Finance Association.

The conversation covered the sustainability investment landscape, the role of policy in shaping carbon markets and blended finance, and how leadership, climate imperatives, and energy security priorities underpin the durability of these policies. Thanks to everyone who have supported Return Right with BCRS since its launch on 1 April! Together, we’ve used Return Right machines over 1 million times, to return a total of 5.5 million beverage containers!

A BIG thank you to the many Singaporeans who have supported Return Right with BCRS since its launch on 1 Apr – together, we’ve used Return Right machines over 1 million times, to return a total of 5.5 million beverage containers! 💚

To keep the scheme running smoothly for everyone, here’s a quick reminder:
✅ Return Right machines only accept beverage containers labelled with the scheme’s official SG Deposit Mark.
✅ Ensure your containers are uncrushed and barcodes undamaged before returning them.

⚠️ NEA and scheme operator, BCRS Ltd., are aware that a small number of users have been misusing the machines, which have led to the machines malfunctioning and being taken out of service temporarily. We seek everyone's cooperation to use the machines only for eligible containers with the SG Deposit Mark so that we do not inconvenience other users.

All Return Right machines are equipped with CCTVs, which will be used to identify, investigate, and take action against errant behaviour.

Let’s keep doing our part the right way. Every return is a step towards a more ! 🌏

Our MSE Family celebrated Singapore's 61st birthday with a National Day Observance Ceremony this morning. We sang the national anthem, recited the pledge and enjoyed a medley of classic National Day songs, courtesy of the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) band! Happy 61st birthday, Singapore!

The Government will provide support to stallholders at Markets and Hawker Centres to mitigate the impact of rising costs due to the Middle East situation.

All eligible stallholders will receive $200 per month for cooked food stalls and $100 for market slab and lock-up stalls for a six-month period from Sep 2026 to Feb 2027, which can be used to offset monthly rent.
