Last Thursday, PRSS celebrated Singapore’s 61st National Day with our very own Pop-Up Café! 🎉

What a vibrant and memorable celebration it was! This year’s festivities were made even more special as we welcomed students and teachers from Berakas Secondary School, Brunei, as well as educators from Taiwan, to join us in celebrating Singapore’s 61st birthday. ❤️🤍

The Pop-Up Café was buzzing with excitement as students, staff and our overseas guests came together to savour a variety of local heritage treats, take part in fun, heritage-inspired activities, and soak in the festive atmosphere with familiar National Day songs playing in the background.

From the delicious flavours to the laughter, conversations and shared experiences, it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying a little taste of Singapore’s culture and heritage together.

A truly festive afternoon filled with food, fun, friendship and national pride — and a wonderful way to celebrate what makes Singapore so special! 🇸🇬✨

Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore! Majulah Singapura! ❤️🤍

Pasirians, get ready for our Mass Reading Activity coming Monday 27 July.

Take a break, pick up a book, and lose yourself in the pages of a great story. Every book opens new worlds, broadens perspectives, and inspires fresh ideas.

Let’s come together to celebrate the joy of reading, where every page transports us to new worlds, helps us grow and inspires us to see beyond our own perspectives.

See you with your favourite book! 💙📖

This afternoon, our school hall was filled with energy and excitement as students immersed themselves in various activities reflecting Singapore's rich multicultural heritage at our vibrant Racial Harmony Bazaar.

From trying traditional games to enjoying delicious treats from different cultures, every booth offered meaningful opportunities to learn, connect and celebrate our diversity.

We were heartened to see our school leaders and staff actively joining in the festivities, while our Parent Support Group (PSG) members generously shared their talents by running the ever-popular henna booth.

More importantly, proceeds from the bazaar were donated to the President's Challenge, reminding us that celebrating harmony also means caring for our community.

Together, we celebrate our differences, strengthen our bonds, and continue building a more inclusive and compassionate PRSS.

Community partnerships play a vital role in supporting our students' holistic development. One of PRSS's valued partners is the Tampines Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC).

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) works closely with the school to raise students' awareness of youth crime and the law, while equipping them with the knowledge and skills to keep themselves safe and avoid becoming victims of crime.

Beyond crime prevention, this partnership encourages students to develop a stronger sense of social responsibility by supporting SPF's outreach efforts through public education campaigns and community programmes.

Our annual engagement sessions strengthen this partnership by keeping the school informed of emerging youth crime trends and enabling us to collaborate on preventive measures, including crime prevention programmes and school-based initiatives.

PRSS is grateful for this meaningful collaboration with SPF and remains committed to working hand in hand to keep our students safe and well. We are also proud to see one of our alumni serving with the SPF and continuing to contribute to the PRSS community.

📚 Read for Books 2026

Pasir Ris Secondary School is proud to partner with the National Library Board (NLB) for the Read for Books charity drive!

This July, all it takes is 15 minutes of reading to make a difference. Whether you're reading in class or in the hall, your participation will help gift books to beneficiaries and support a meaningful cause.

Join us as we celebrate the joy of reading while giving back to the community. Let's set aside just 15 minutes to read and be part of this meaningful initiative.

🏆✨ P.R.I.Z.E. – Celebrating Values, Honouring Excellence ✨🏆

Our Awards Ceremony was a meaningful celebration of the achievements, character, and growth of our Pasirians over the past year. 🌟

Anchored in this year’s theme, P.R.I.Z.E., we recognise students who have embraced pride and responsibility, acted with integrity, pursued their goals with zeal, and shown empathy in their daily actions. From consistent effort in the classroom to dedication in their CCAs, our awardees are a powerful reminder that small, positive habits can create a lasting impact.

In an inspiring address, our Principal, Mr Ivan Wu, reminded us of the importance of friendship—the support we give, the encouragement we offer, and the connections that shape our journey through school and beyond. 🤝

We were also honoured to hear from our Guest-of-Honour, Ms Nusaibah Abdul Rahim, who shared heartfelt reflections of her time in PRSS. Her story was a meaningful reminder that we should always remember the people, the moments and the version of yourself that started in PRSS. She also reminded us to be brave, be kind and not to give up easily. 🌱

As we celebrate our students’ accomplishments, we also celebrate the spirit of our school community—one that grows stronger through shared values, everyday actions, and a commitment to becoming better versions of ourselves.

Here’s to continuing the journey with purpose, pride, and heart. 💫
