What does it actually take to make a workplace inclusive?

At MINDS, inclusive employment means working with both employees and employers to consider the right role, support and workplace environment for Persons with Intellectual Disability to thrive.

It’s a theme that carries into MINDS Film Festival 2026. In Please Stand By, Wendy is a young woman with autism who works at Cinnabon while pursuing her dream of becoming a scriptwriter, exploring work, independence and ambition as parts of a much bigger life.

The best kind of wellness is one that's shared. 💪

Clients, caregivers and volunteers came together for MINDS East Cluster's Wellness Day, held at St. Hilda's Secondary School, for a day of movement, connection and shared experiences.

Whether it was trying Boomwhackers for the first time, taking on modified HYROX workouts, enjoying a game of football, creating crafts or winding down with seated Tai Chi, every activity was an opportunity to stay active, build confidence and celebrate each other's achievements.

While clients embraced new experiences, caregivers took time to reflect on their own journeys — sharing heartfelt conversations, encouraging one another and finding strength in a community that understands.

Held in conjunction with the MINDS Colour Socks Parade, the day was a reminder that wellness extends beyond physical health. It grows through meaningful connections, mutual support and communities where everyone feels included. 👐

Because when we move, learn and celebrate together, everyone thrives. 💙
