Community isn’t built by proximity alone — it’s built through meaningful human connection. 👥🌱🌟
On 19th March, we were honoured to welcome Tham Jun Han, co-founder of Friendzone, a social enterprise dedicated to rebuilding the kampung spirit and neighbourliness in modern Singapore, during our Youth For Change Workshop which was executed in March.
Growing up in residential estates where neighbours often remained strangers, Tham began questioning what was missing in our increasingly connected yet disconnected world. This curiosity eventually led him to create Friendzone — a movement that brings people together through shared experiences, conversations, and community initiatives.
Through his inspiring journey, our youth gained valuable insights into leadership, social entrepreneurship, and the importance of fostering genuine relationships in the communities around us. He reminded us that rebuilding the “Kampung Spirit” begins with small acts of connection, empathy, and intentional effort.
A huge thank you to Tham for sharing his experiences and inspiring our young changemakers to strengthen the communities they are part of! 🙌✨💛
