Before you file your GST return, run through these 3 checks 👇
✅ Supplier tax invoices are valid
✅ Input tax claiming conditions are met
✅ Ageing debts owed to suppliers have been paid off

If you have ageing debts to suppliers that remain unpaid beyond 12 months, you need to repay the input tax claimed previously to IRAS.

Fresh Perspectives, Meaningful Conversations, Lasting Connections ✨

What does a fair tax system look like to youths? How does a diversified revenue system help Singapore stay resilient?

At the latest (TYN) Connect, youths from diverse backgrounds came together to exchange perspectives and explore how tax shapes Singapore’s future.

🔥 A highlight of the session was the interactive Hot Take Wall, jointly facilitated with our partners Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals and Tax Academy of Singapore. Participants weighed in on Resilience, Opportunity and Adaptability – sharing candid views, challenging assumptions and hearing different perspectives.

The conversation continues through our TYN social media competition, sparking wider discussions about Singapore’s development.

Thank you to everyone who brought their curiosity, energy and fresh perspectives to the session 🙌

Want to be part of the next conversation? Join our community of youth advocates – no prior tax knowledge required. Get in touch here: go.gov.sg/tyn26

Experts who never stop learning.

At the Accredited Tax Specialists (ATS) Accreditation and Awards Ceremony 2026, we celebrated newly accredited Tax Specialists, recipients of Book Prizes for outstanding performance in advanced tax programmes, and recipients of the Technical Contribution Award (TCA). 🏆

Participants also gained valuable perspectives from See Jee Chang, Transfer Pricing Leader, Deloitte Singapore and former IRAS Tax Director and heard from this year’s TCA recipients who shared the insights, challenges, and practical applications behind their work.

The ATS community embodies IRAS’ commitment to continual learning, knowledge sharing and technical excellence. By building expertise and learning from one another, we strengthen our ability to address complex tax issues and contribute to a trusted tax system for Singapore. Congratulations to all award recipients and newly accredited specialists for their achievements. 🎉

🤝 IRAS is shaping a responsible taxpaying community by making tax filing and payment simple, seamless, and accessible.

While tax compliance remains high in Singapore, IRAS continues to take firm action against the small minority of taxpayers who wilfully evade tax. In FY2025/26, we audited and investigated 8,560 cases, recovering approximately $589 million in taxes and penalties.
