How are we supporting construction technology firms to innovate? 🏗️

New developments adopting tools such as prefabrication and integrated digital delivery have grown from about 20 per cent in 2018 to around 70 per cent by gross floor area in 2025.

With advances in AI and robotics, the government is supporting the built environment sector to continue pushing boundaries, such as by waiving rental fees for technology testbeds; setting up a sandbox for large-scale autonomous construction technologies; mandating the use of robots in JTC’s construction tenders; and providing a list of proven digital solutions for JTC’s project partners.

These measures will help accelerate adoption of robotics and autonomous technologies, shaping a more sustainable and future-ready construction sector. 👷‍♂️🤖

Singapore offers increased support for construction technology firms developing robotics and automation solutions to drive industry innovation. Read more at straitstimes.com. Read more at straitstimes.com.

Cyber resilience and governance go hand in hand. 🛡️

As digital transformation accelerates, trust hinges not just on having the right technology and tools, but on robust governance and clear accountability.

Across organisations, leaders must take ownership of digital risk and integrate it into their decision-making.

At the Governance, Technology Audit & Compliance, and Security (GTACS) Conference 2026, organised by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Singapore Chapter, five leaders were recognised for their contributions in championing cyber resilience.

Beyond regulations, we will continue supporting enterprises in developing capabilities and deepening partnerships, so that we can build confidence in a digital world. 🌟

Around 200 cases of online harms have been reported to the Online Safety Commission, Singapore (OSC) since it started operating about a month ago. 🌐

In one case where a survivor’s intimate recording was uploaded to a website without consent, the OSC issued a takedown direction to the website, which complied and removed the video.

Other victims included two children whose phone numbers and photographs were posted online. The OSC worked with the platform to remove the harmful posts and suspend the offending accounts.

These cases demonstrate how the OSC is supporting victims of online harms to receive timelier relief, contributing to a safer online space for all. 🛡️

Among the victims were two children whose phone numbers and photos were posted online. Read more at straitstimes.com. Read more at straitstimes.com.

Access Government websites in Chinese, Malay and Tamil at a click!

Polyglot is an AI-powered translation widget that translates information into Chinese, Malay and Tamil. It is now being piloted on the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) and Smart Nation websites.

Developed by a team at Open Government Products through this year’s Hack for Public Good, and built on a hybrid LLM-based translation engine SG Translate 2.0 jointly developed by MDDI and GovTech (Government Technology Agency of Singapore), Polyglot leverages SG Translate 2.0 large language models to analyse sentences in context, while tapping on the Government Terms Translated database to ensure outputs reflect how terms are used in Singapore.

Check out Polyglot on the Smart Nation website and give us your feedback!

💬 Building healthy digital habits in your child goes beyond saying "Don't do this" or "Put that down". It starts with checking in with your child on their online experiences and the challenges they face online.

When children are involved in setting the rules, they're more likely to follow them.
