Our Eyes in the Sky 👀🚁

As technology continues to evolve, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) is exploring how Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) can support our officers and enhance policing operations.

From crowd management to law enforcement, UAVs give officers an aerial perspective that can be especially valuable when navigating large, crowded or difficult-to-access areas.

During a recent enforcement operation, UAVs were deployed to assist officers in searching a forested terrain for wanted suspects.

These operations show how UAVs complement our officers on the ground, providing an additional vantage point, enhancing situational awareness and supporting faster, more effective searches.

⚠️ 𝗕𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼 & 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀

😲 In this variant, scammers posed as recruiters on LinkedIn to target tech and cryptocurrency professionals. Victims are lured into fake interviews and directed to spoofed websites to complete coding assessments, where malware is unknowingly downloaded. This allowed scammers to steal credentials and siphon cryptocurrency, which resulted in losses amounting to USD11.8 million (approximately S$15 million).

⚠️ Beware of Fake Job Offer Scams Targeting Crypto & Tech Professionals

🇸🇬 One Bukit Timah National Day Celebration & PAssionArts Festival 2026 was held on 15 August 2026 at Firefly Park, bringing residents and families together to celebrate Singapore’s 61st National Day through a day of fun activities, performances and community bonding.

📱 Officers from the Community Policing Unit, together with VSCC volunteers, engaged residents on scam prevention and introduced the ScamShield app, encouraging everyone to download and use it to stay protected against scam calls and messages.

🚔 A Traffic Police officer also engaged residents on road safety, sharing practical advisories and reminding residents to stay alert and practise safe road-use habits, especially around vulnerable road users.

Scammers have been exploiting GSTV payouts as bait to trick victims.

In this variant, scammers impersonate government officials and send phishing messages containing malicious links, claiming that victims are eligible for GSTV payouts.

Victims are prompted to enter their personal details. Scammers then use the compromised information to take over their Telegram accounts, which are subsequently used to send phishing links to their contacts or add them to fake investment scheme groups.

⚠️ 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿

Eligible citizens who have previously signed up for the GSTV scheme will automatically receive the payments.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳:

✅ All government SMSes are sent from the gov.sg sender ID.

❌ Do not reply, click any links, or provide personal details to unverified sender.
