Victoria Junior College Victoria is Something More
Lead | Serve | Excel This is what sets us apart in the educational landscape of Singapore.

The Victoria Junior College name is synonymous with a culture of excellence and innovation in both work and play. While Victorians boast of strong academic standings and possess rigorous intellectual habits, they are also challenged to go beyond the everyday and pursue what their hearts desire. We value the diversity that is every young person and believe that there is nothing more important than

helping them find their passion and purpose, however defined. Victorians then go out, ready to change the world in creative and meaningful ways. Thinkers, dreamers and doers - here at Victoria Junior College, you can be all of them.

The NS engagement @ VJC on 17 Aug saw VJC hosting the 1st Commando Battalion for an action-packed morning! 💪

As part of the the SAF-Schools Partnership Programme, Victorians got a taste of what National Service and Army life can be like — from flipping tyres and testing their strength, trying out sniper stations at the Tree House, tasting army food rations, putting on camouflage, to navigating a Built-Up Area (BUA) mock-up. Every station brought a different glimpse into the experiences, challenges and camaraderie that come with life in the Army.

From classroom to field, our students got to learn by doing, challenge themselves, and experience a little of what it means to serve. 🇸🇬

A big thank you to the 1st Commando Battalion for spending the morning with us and giving our students an unforgettable NS experience!

Big congrats to Trudy Suresh Jia Xin of 25S33 — our newest SAF Young Leader Award (SYLA) recipient! ✨🏆
The SYLA recognises students who bring together academic excellence, strong leadership through their CCAs, and a real passion for defence-related issues. 🔥
Extra special: the award was presented by Major Goh Si Ying, VJ alumna from 13S63 and recipient of the SAF Merit Scholarship, now serving with the Air Force. Si Ying is proof that the leadership VJ builds doesn’t stop at graduation, it just keeps flying. ✈️
Congratulations, Trudy, show them what Victorians are made of. ♥️💛

We were honoured to host Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment for a meaningful dialogue with our JC2 students.

Students shared their perspectives on how Singapore could address the impacts of climate change, from the role that young people can play in shaping climate policies to the challenges of fostering collective action.

Thank you, Ms Fu, for engaging our students in this thought-provoking conversation and for inspiring them to think critically about the positive action they can take in preparing to navigate Singapore through impending climatic and environmental challenges for a sustainable future!

On 5 August, Victorians had the opportunity to look ahead at EdVantage Fair 2026, our annual higher education, careers and scholarship fair. 🌟

With representatives from Institutes of Higher Learning, Ministries, Statutory Boards and other partner organisations gathered across our Hall and Library, students explored the many future pathways available, asking questions, discovering opportunities and gaining valuable insights into further education, careers and scholarships.

We were very thankful to our awesome alumni who also returned to share their experiences through ECG talks, offering Victorians a glimpse into different journeys beyond college. 💬

We hope EdVantage Fair 2026 has inspired our Victorians to think about their aspirations, explore possibilities with confidence, and take meaningful steps towards shaping their own futures. 🚀

To our Alumni: if today stirred a little nostalgia, or you're keen to be part of that same guidance for Victorians coming up behind you, VJConnects is where that journey continues. 💛❤️ Explore how you can share your experiences and support the next generation. Link in bio! 🔗

Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond! ❤️🤍🇸🇬

This National Day, we came together as a school to celebrate Singapore — our shared home, our shared journey and the values that unite us.

As we commemorate the 60th anniversary of our National Pledge, we stood together as one, reminded of our commitment to build a society based on justice and equality, regardless of race, language or religion.

Our celebrations were filled with the spirit of togetherness, pride and play — from the marching contingent parade as we remembered Singapore’s journey to independence, to an exciting day of Inter-House Games featuring our sports finales and plenty of friendly competition! 🏃‍♀️🏆

The celebrations continued with a taste of Singapore’s heritage through Peranakan tile stamping, ang ku kueh making workshops and traditional kampong games. 🎨🥮🎯

And what better way to end the day than coming together in the hall, singing along to our favourite NDP songs and celebrating what it means to call Singapore home.

Here’s to the memories, the friendships, and the Singapore spirit that brings us together.

Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore! 🎉🇸🇬❤️

Amidst our National Day celebrations, Victorians took a moment ahead of tonight’s ASEAN Championship match against Indonesia to cheer on our Lions - Majulah Singapura! 🔥

Our annual STEM Festival@VJC brought together more than 400 curious minds from primary and secondary schools across Singapore for a day of discovery, innovation and hands-on learning! 🧪✨

In partnership with A*STAR, DSTA and DSO, students explored exciting STEM experiences through activities such as the A*STAR–VJC Science Fair, Amazing Eco-STEM Race and DSTA-DSO-VJC Robotics Challenge, alongside interactive experiments, tech showcases and inspiring conversations.

A cornerstone of our Science & Technology Centre's outreach efforts, the festival continues to spark curiosity, deepen learning and inspire the next generation of STEM changemakers.

Thank you to all our partners and participants for making this year's festival a success—we can't wait to see where your STEM journey takes you! 🚀💡

At our recent 42nd College Day, we celebrated another year of excellence, resilience, and the Victorian Spirit ❤️💛

We were honoured to welcome our Guest of Honour, BG Tan Tiong Keat, our alumnus from 96S33, as we recognised the achievements of our students and staff ✨

At this year's College Day, we celebrated Victorians who embodied the values of our Victorian SEAL through their service, excellence, achievements and leadership.

To our teachers and staff – thank you for your unwavering dedication and passion.

To our parents – thank you for your trust and support. 🫶🏼

To our students – past and present – thank you for inspiring us with your achievements and resilience. 🤩

Here's to continuing to lead, serve, and excel together. Nil Sine Labore! 🔥

Last week, Victorians rolled up their sleeves to tidy up their own classrooms, a small gesture with a bigger point: VJC isn’t just clean, it’s cared for. Every single day, that care comes from our aunties and uncles who work alongside us to keep our campus a place we’re proud to learn in. ✨

To say thank you, a group of Victorians organised a breakfast in their honour, generously sponsored by our PSG. The morning was filled with performances from two student bands, Friday Jam Co and The Labubus, games, and plenty of conversation — a chance for Victorians to sit down, laugh, and truly get to know the people behind our everyday environment. 🎶

To the Victorians who stepped up to organise and give back, and to every hand that helped keep our campus clean this morning — thank you for showing what VJCommunity really looks like. ♥️💛
