Nanyang Polytechnic's School of IT is proud to formalise our partnership with EM Services through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 6 Aug at SMEICC 2026.

Represented by our Deputy Principal (Sustainability & Technology), Dr Phua Chee Teck, this MoU marks the next chapter in a collaboration that began with our students tackling real-world facility management challenges across EM Services' town councils, and formalises our shared commitment to joint proof-of-concept development, industry projects, and internship opportunities for our students.

Our students have already shown what they can bring to the table, and this partnership gives them a structured runway to go further; building solutions alongside EM Services' teams, learning directly from the challenges they face on the ground, and growing into the kind of problem solvers Singapore's SMEs and industry need.

We're excited for what's ahead and look forward to sharing more as our students' work takes shape in the months to come.

Congratulations to our Year 3 Diploma in Applied AI & Analytics learners, Joshy Dhiraj and Lim Wei Yi Markus, who competed as Team CurryBao in the final round of the SIM-LSE (London School of Economics) Data Analytics Competition and emerged with the Gold Award.

Their outstanding performance has earned them the opportunity to represent Singapore at the regional competition in September 2026.

We are proud of their accomplishment and wish them all the best for the next stage.

An inspiring day at the SIT Management Workplan Retreat 💡

We kicked off with an engaging sharing session and tour by Mr Peh Wee Leng, Director, School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology (ITE College East), before breaking into working groups to chart out our strategic focus areas and next steps.

We can't wait to put these initiatives into action!

Huge shoutout to our amazing students Felicia Tan and Charlisa Tan from Diploma in Information Technology, along with Vivion Oh from Diploma in Business & Financial Technology! They made it to the Top 5 Finalists in the SCDF and Dell Lifesavers' Innovation Challenge 2026! 🎉

They competed against 81 teams from 17 schools, including NUS, NTU, SMU, and SIT, and got to present their awesome idea to Minister of State, Mr. Goh Pei Ming! Way to go, team!

Morgan Chase, overseas exchange programme in South Korea, and various competitions.
