⚠️ Beware of Fake Job Offer Scams Targeting Crypto & Tech Professionals

😲 In this variant, scammers posed as recruiters on LinkedIn to target tech and cryptocurrency professionals. Victims are lured into fake interviews and directed to spoofed websites to complete coding assessments, where malware is unknowingly downloaded. This allowed scammers to steal credentials and siphon cryptocurrency, which resulted in losses amounting to USD11.8 million(approximately S$15 million).

Protect yourself:
• Verify recruiters and companies through official channels
• Never download files or execute code from unverified sources
• Watch out for interviewers who refuse to turn on their video

Ticket sales kicked off today (11 Aug), with virtual queue numbers surging past 300,000.

Remember:

✅ Only buy from authorised platforms like Ticketmaster.

✅ Those with resold tickets will not be allowed into the venue and will be turned away from the concert with no refund.

Changi NPC Community Policing Unit (CPU) organised a "Protecting Those Who Care: Healthcare Worker Safety Seminar" for medical staff and representatives from various healthcare agencies, with Changi General Hospital (CGH) graciously hosting the session. The talk covered practical tips and strategies to stay vigilant and safe, both at the workplace and in daily life.

The session also served as a valuable platform for inter-agency sharing, where representatives from other medical agencies shared insights on the issue of abuse faced by healthcare workers. Participants exchanged experiences and discussed effective techniques to de-escalate tense situations, manage challenging behaviours, and safeguard the well-being of both staff and patients.

It was a meaningful session that reinforced the importance of keeping our frontline healthcare workers safe as they continue to serve our community with dedication. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the healthcare institutions that participated:

On 30 July 2026, officers from Changi NPC's Community Policing Unit (CPU) made their way to MyFirstSkool at Blk 254 Simei Street 1 to bring an exciting and educational safety awareness programme to our youngest members of the community! 👮🏻‍♂️👧🏻👦🏻

Through hands-on activities and engaging conversations, our officers introduced the children to essential personal safety concepts, equipping them with simple yet practical tips on staying safe at home, in school, and in the community. The students were eager and participative, showing great enthusiasm in picking up these important lessons. ✨🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️

Beyond safety tips, the session offered the children a memorable chance to find out more about the work of police officers and how we collaborate with the community to keep Singapore safe and secure. 🚔🤝

A big thank you to MyFirstSkool at Blk 254 Simei Street 1 for the warm welcome and gracious hospitality extended to our officers. We hope the session left a lasting impression on the students, and that the valuable safety lessons learnt will continue to guide them as they grow.

Watch out for GST Voucher (GSTV) scams

Scammers have been exploiting GSTV payouts as bait to trick victims.

In this variant, scammers impersonate government officials and send phishing messages containing malicious links, claiming that victims are eligible for GSTV payouts.

Victims are prompted to enter their personal details. Scammers then use the compromised information to take over their Telegram accounts, which are subsequently used to send phishing links to their contacts or add them to fake investment scheme groups.

⚠️Remember

Eligible citizens who have previously signed up for the GSTV scheme will automatically receive the payments.

Protect yourself:

✅ All government SMSes are sent from the gov.sg sender ID.

❌ Do not reply, click any links, or provide personal details to unverified sender.

Heads up, drivers!


Changes to the Driver Improvement Points System (DIPS) take effect from 1 Jan 2027.


Know the new rules, stay safe on the roads.

𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗗𝗜𝗣𝗦)

To enhance road safety, the Singapore Police Force will be tightening the Driver Improvement Points System (DIPS) to better deter traffic violations and keep errant motorists off our roads for longer periods, effective 1 January 2027.

Key changes include:
• Lower thresholds for licence suspension and revocation
• Longer suspension periods for each suspension
• Changes to educational interventions for errant motorists

These changes reinforce the importance of responsible driving and encourage all motorists to play their part in making our roads safer for everyone.

🚨️“Microsoft” Pop-Up Alert? Do not panic!

Scammers used fake Microsoft pop-up alerts to trick victims into calling a "technical support" number.

After calling the number, victims were transferred to a fake "police officer" who allege them of being involved in criminal activities and request for access to their device(s).

Having gained access, scammers would make unauthorised transactions from victims' bank accounts.

Protect yourself:

❌ Never call numbers shown in a pop-up alert.

✅ Always verify alerts through your software provider’s official channels.

⚠️ Remember: Microsoft does NOT include phone numbers in its error messages.
