Building a safer workplace starts with awareness and preparedness. 💪🏻

On 16 June 2026, officers from Changi NPC’s Community Policing Unit (CPU) were at Dell Technologies @ Changi to engage employees on current crime concerns, scam prevention, and emergency preparedness. 👮🏻‍♂️

Through interactive engagements, employees learned about the latest scam tactics used by criminals and how simple preventive measures can go a long way in protecting themselves, their families, and their finances. 🚫 Stay Away From Ah Longs.

Easy money today can lead to a lifetime of debt and harassment.

Unlicensed moneylenders often target individuals who are facing financial difficulties, offering quick cash with little regard for their ability to repay. What may seem like a solution can quickly become a trap, with excessive interest, hefty penalties, and persistent harassment.

Remember these warning signs:

❌ Unsolicited loan offers through calls, social media or messaging apps
❌ Requests for upfront payments before loan disbursement
❌ Loan offers that sound too good to be true

Stay away from Ah Longs to avoid falling into a vicious cycle of debt and harassment.

We were heartened by the overwhelming response from Citi (Singapore) staff, who visited our booth and actively engaged our officers throughout the event. Their enthusiasm and keen interest in learning more about crime prevention and public safety made the engagement both meaningful and impactful. 🙌🏻

Through our engagement, staff learned about the latest scam trends and how the ScamShield app could help safeguard them against scam calls, messages, and online threats. 📱🛡️

Our officers also shared key SGSecure messages, highlighting the importance of staying alert, remaining vigilant, and being prepared to respond during emergencies. 🚨🤝

More than $5.4 million has been lost to Government Officials Impersonation Scams (GOIS) since April 2026. 😱

Scammers, impersonating Government officials, have been accusing victims of being involved in criminal activities.

They have asked victims to make cash transfers via ATMs to ‘safety accounts’ for investigation purposes.

*Remember!*

‼️ *Government officials, including the Police, will NEVER ask you to transfer money or hand over valuables (e.g. cash, gold, cryptocurrency) over a phone call.*
