Emilija’s internship in Budapest was an opportunity to experience the full spectrum of her field. From observing hospital practices to getting hands-on in the kitchen, every experience added a new layer to her understanding of nutritional counselling and dietetics. These diverse experiences gave her a well-rounded perspective, showing her the importance of adapting to different environments and challenges. For Emilija, the combination of clinical exposure and practical learning was a good foundation and preparation for a dynamic career ahead. 🍽️🏥

Happy Easter! 🐣
During this festive season, we wish all students and friends of studying in Slovenia peace, joy, and a few sweet moments. 🍫

💡 In Slovenia, decorating Easter eggs — called pirhi — is a long-standing tradition. Each egg is carefully painted or dyed, often using natural colors like onion skins, spinach, berries, or wine, creating beautiful and unique patterns.

May your Easter be full of colors, smiles, and new ideas!🌷

Easter egg Inspiration! 🐣

Want a fun and uniquely Slovenian way to color your Easter eggs this year? Try Teran wine — a rich red wine from the Slovenian Kras region! 🌿

💡 How to try it:
If you have brown eggs, first lighten them by soaking in a mixture of vinegar and water.

Cook your eggs directly in Teran wine.
After cooking, let the eggs soak in Teran overnight — or even better, for a full day! One fan leaves her eggs for about 40 hours. This gives time for beautiful large crystals to form, which sparkle under the light. ✨
When the crystals are big enough, take the eggs out of the Teran and let them dry. Don’t worry — the crystals haven’t disappeared, they just aren’t visible on wet eggs. Once dry, the color of the eggs looks completely different and even more vibrant! 🌈
For extra creativity, mix in natural ingredients like onion skins, spinach, or berries to create unique patterns!

A deliciously festive twist on tradition — and a fun way to celebrate Slovenian culture! 🐰

We had an amazing opportunity to join the World Education Fair in Sofia (Bulgaria), thanks to the invitation from Slovenia’s ambassador, Nataša Bergelj (Veleposlaništvo Slovenije v Sofiji - Посолство на Словения в София).🤝

Together with the awesome team from Slovenian Embassy, we connected with high school seniors who are starting to think about their next big step: university life! We shared everything about studying in Slovenia — from diverse programs to the unique student experience our universities offer. 📚🌍

What made it even cooler? The fair organizer, Integral, uses a smart matching system to guide students toward the countries and universities that best fit their interests. And guess what… Slovenia was a top pick for many! 🙌

Our stand was buzzing with curious, motivated students all day long — a clear sign that Slovenia is becoming an increasingly popular study destination, especially across the Western Balkans.

Thinking about studying abroad? Slovenia might just be your next adventure.💡

Minister Dr. Igor Papič and Prof. Dr. Janez Povh have signed the agreement for the temporary assumption of functions at the University of Novo mesto, which will become the fourth public university in Slovenia.

📚 Under one roof, faculties in the fields of engineering, economics, business and information studies, as well as the Rudolfovo Science and Technology Centre, are coming together.

🧠 Strong universities are key to development, innovation, and national competitiveness.

👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 Around 2,000 students will be able to continue their studies at the new university.

🌍 The establishment of the university brings new knowledge, research opportunities, and strengthens regional development, while also positioning Slovenia more firmly on the international academic map.
