Vabljeni k branju nove objave, ki je nastala v okviru projekta , pri kateri so sodelovali sodelavci našega oddelka.
Veseli smo, da je bil v reviji Journal of Hydrology objavljen naš članek: Integrated multi-scale ecohydrogeological monitoring of spatio-temporal dynamics in karst critical zones.
V prispevku predstavljamo nov pristop za spremljanje ekohidrogeoloških procesov v kraških kritičnih conah, ki povezuje površinske in podzemne lokacije, prilagojene metode vzorčenja ter tehnologije monitoringa. Študija v gozdnatem kraškem vodonosniku v Sloveniji je pokazala prednosti premišljene izbire lokacij in inovativnih tehnik za spremljanje padavin, talnih raztopin, tekoče in prenikle vode v jamah. Raziskava opozarja na izzive, kot so zagotavljanje prostorske in časovne reprezentativnosti meritev, zaščita instrumentov ter prilagajanje meritvam v dinamičnih okoljih. Rezultati kažejo, kako lahko tak pristop izboljša razumevanje kraških procesov, spodbuja interdisciplinarno sodelovanje in prispeva k učinkovitemu upravljanju vodnih virov.

We are pleased to announce that our article, Integrated multi-scale ecohydrogeological monitoring of spatio-temporal dynamics in karst critical zones, has been published in the Journal of Hydrology.
In this article, we present a new approach to monitoring ecohydrogeological processes in karst critical zones, which combines surface and underground locations, adapted sampling methods, and monitoring technologies. A study in a forested karst aquifer in Slovenia has demonstrated the advantages of carefully selected locations and innovative techniques for monitoring precipitation, soil solutions, flowing and percolating water in caves. The research highlights challenges such as ensuring the spatial and temporal representativeness of measurements, protecting instruments, and adapting measurements in dynamic environments. The results show how such an approach can improve understanding of karst processes, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to effective water resource management.
