Dr. Kumar Sarang has recently returned to India. As postdoctoral scientist he was at Kemijski inštitut for nearly two years.
His journey wasn’t easy, but determination and persistence led him to bag Marie Curie Fellowship for pursuing Ph.D. with Prof. Rafal Szmigielski and Dr. Krzysztof Rudziński at Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences. He also collaborated with Prof. Adam Kubas to carry out DFT calculations.
His stay at Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research (TROPOS), a key highlight of his Ph.D. career, where Prof. Hartmut Herrmann provided him an opportunity to work with his team consisting of one of the finest scientists in the field of atmospheric science.
While he could not visit Dr. Irena Grgić as his comenthor during Ph.D. due to pandemic, she invited him for a Postdoc within her team (now former, leading by Dr. Kristijan Vidovic ) at Kemijski Inštitut - National Institute of Chemistry.
Kumar, we are grateful for being with us in Atmospheric Chemistry Group, Department of Analytical Chemistry, NIC for some time!
I am sure your return to India will be great and open a new successful chapter for your scientific journey.
