Israeli Occupation assault on students of Smart College in Hebron and arrested of female students from Birzeit University. Those arrested include students Jolan Abu Awwad, Natalia Abu Diya, and Sama Safi, as well as graduate Laila Nael Khalil, all of whom remain in detention and are being interrogated by the occupation authorities.these practices and violations are part of the Israeli occupation’s systematic policies aimed at undermining the Palestinian higher education sector and denying students their right to education in a safe and secure environment. such attacks constitute violations of international laws, norms, and conventions that prohibit assaults on universities and colleges, as well as on their students, academics, and staff. Palestine renewed its call on the International Association of Universities, the Association of Arab Universities, and all relevant international, human rights, and media organizations to expose and help stop these ongoing violations against Palestinian higher education institutions, and to adopt a firm and decisive stance in confronting them. 🇵🇸

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, the embassy is inviting you to watch a documentary “Tantura” one of the most popular documentary about Nakba. In 1948 the newly established State of Israel attacked the Palestinian cities and villages which led to the destruction of over 500 villages and several massacres. It also caused the displacement of over 750 thousand people from their cities and villages. The indigenous Palestinian people have found themselves refugees on their own homeland and that’s why every year they come together to memorise their catastrophe “Nakba”. The Israeli occupation policies of aggression against the Palestinian people didn’t stop since 1948 and until today.
